we have to take into consideration that FH does not have an actual experience before she got posted on pass , shifu never allowed her to go on a mission . More like she have learned every thing during her training but she never learned to deal them in reality . SO yes she is not experienced enough to give advice on political matters but she is in process of learning that she have not entered into actual world and she no longer practicing in training world . About helping on couple , I like how she pushed her bro to get the girl because she know him better, he would never got nerve to come clean to the girl he liked .... about her own relationship , she is trying her best but it is like m if shifu dont want to be in relationship ..it is her fate then . So yeah FH is smart kid
Half way mark and the story slowed down to a drag and turned bland. I’m glad they didn’t overly dumb down…
Every couple in this drama have their own story and it have beautifully shown . They can rush the story of side couple just to bring more focus on main couple , if they did that it will be another idol drama concept that would have wrecked the drama plot . If you think that ML is bad at acting , can you suggest other name that have done better job in playing a cold aloof character who never felt love or never thought about it but now he start to appreciate this woman in life slowly ? Unlike you I can see his cold mask coming out slowly , and he getting warmer to FL ...he no longer always give a cold stare but have his own moments of shyness , shock and his eyes scream all those emotions .

I mean her voice attitude changes onnthe basis of people around her . If shifu is around her alone , she become childish but when she is meeting king, or on official business her voice become stern . Though I agree there is no effort put to pretend that voice is manly . I think there is reason for lack of chemistry between emperor and FJ. Since prince yi revolt to death of empress Zizan , FJ blamed himself and that is also reason he became a baixi (to save emperor's life) , so for him it's a guilt that he have to carry ...so he never get close to emperor or try to become friendly with emperor ( he was lot friendly in flashbacks when Zizan was alive) . But emperor still consider FJ as his best friend . So there is always an awkward relationship between the 2. Like the convo where emperor says that spy network will be overseen by Madam Ju ... emperor clearly want to push FJ thinking Madam JU is FJ lover and FJ need push to confess his real feeling ...while during the who convo FJ continue to pretend he is not a friend but a servant of emperor ... As a non chinese , I don't find issue with emperor dialogues ...I think the way he talk ( taking pauses in between) because he is emperor

Exactly, there are tonn of drama watchers who don't understand chinese but love to watch chinese drama and they notice dubbing issue untill it is specifically stands out . And I don't mind if I had to listen to same dubber over and over again. What matters for me is the plot , production and direction of drama . And there is another reason I like about this drama , it seems that production have worked and put effort in this drama as compared to other dramas in same genre where production quality is really bad

I agree , FJ is cold...not talk to much while from bts we can see WC loves to talk ... I don't what people expect in acting when character description is cold , unfriendly, a man of few words . His eyes speak more than his mouth . Like in ep 23 when yang mi dresses in white women outfit , as soon as the door open ...the shock and appreciation look given by WC was so clear and fitting .

I am sure emperor does not no longer wish to die especially after falling for tilan, Falling in love with her have prompted him to wish to live . And yes FJ is last of the survivors of fang and hence he want to break it so that future generation will not suffer like him . So i do understand his end meant to tragic ... As for wishing emperor, I think FJ push FH towards emperor because he the only guy he can trust , he is in better shape than FJ and he has more resources at his disposal ..that is why he made that cruel choice .... And i do get why FH misunderstood Fj until the very end......

Yes , I dont ever get the rant on dubbers ..As someone who dont understand Chinese language in anyway , i can't even able to distinguish between the dubbers and originals ..so it is been my least concern that the actors uses their own voice or not . I love Tang Mi language , she uses this sweet language when she is around shifu ,I think it shows her understanding to character . When ever she is with other (except Zhao ling) , his voice never show emotions ...it is rather confident... Same with WC, his dub voice suits perfectly to the character he is playing and I really like the current arrangement . Avenue X also mentioned that she doesnot like the line delievers by emperor ...But I dont see any problem in that one ...I rather find it suitable when emperor take pauses and does not speak his mind in just one go ...it shows clarity of though and honestly I think the actor is doing a fine job while playing and delivering his line . Also Director made enough changes that made drama leads a lot different than novel leads , so I dont think the voice will do justice if they describe the leads according to the book . LIke if FJ turned out to be like in book , then his voice would be similar to eunuch Mu , and that would be a weird think to hear ..
