The main lead of this drama is Yang MI and she is smart and strong as well and she can very well take care of herself ...that is why , even though the Male lead will die , he wont have to leave guards guarding FL 24x7 for protection ...She stand out as she has been described in the drama .
Yes there is love triangle in drama but I dont thinks it will turn out to be actual love triangle . Because SML already have his lover in life and he seems to be very happy with her ..the only thing that Bring the SML and FL together because ML sort give FL to SML.

My guess is it sort of fictional cure . We already know that the drama involve various elements of fantasy like mermaid , baixi bond ...so I believe it is also cure not necessarily a baixi bond because what I have know , Baixi bond was specifically designed for FANG family and ROYAL clan ....hence others can forged the bond .

I heard people complaining yang Mi too old for the role but I find Yang Mi rather suitable for the roles , She look perfectly like a child specially when she make puppy eyes in front of shifu ...and the cold face make WC look older than Yang MI ..hence I find the plot believable (shifu and disciple ) despite of Yang MI and William's real age .

This story can't be more pitiful , I want to kill Ji cheng so that he can leave FJM and HS in peace.

Possibility because it is made quite clear that bond can't be broken without paying the cost ..so I guess the bond will broken but the cost will be death of those who were protected by this bond that is emperor and FJM.

In drama, Tilan it seems that she dont have any romantic feelings so far . She is doing all because as a duty to her country and since she already has accepted her fate , she is trying her best to understand emperor.
And emperor who is alone after Zizan demise , finally got some one who can understand him , so he have started to fall for tilan as well.

He already Knew about HS as he was working for Jifeng Pavilion. He was the one sending updates on the Pass and HS to Shifu. Only because of Him , Shifu promptly get the message of FH taken as hostage.

Oh ...then I can understand why tilan character in book is cunning and FZ has disagreement ...
If that the case , I think the changes made in drama adaptation make the story more dimensional and every character more human than book where we clearly see two groups fighting .
