can some one help me to connect the dots, there was a scene where ml lead enters into court and next scene cuts to him running to FL ..why ml mother entered the court ?

I guess yes. I mean the actors does changing their way of speech to show that they switched but other than that lots of things can be highlighted to show that they swapped and I feel its okay but could have been done in better manner.

yes, I have seen lots of drama and yes, it is usual theme in most of drama. Yet I can't stop questioning, because there is fair amount of kdrama out there that show genuine confusion of characters which side to choose and their struggle to eventually get to rebel, it highlights that writer is not focused on just leads but also on side characters. But as someone pointed out, this drama does lacks in certain aspects.
For example, I feel the acting is not up to the mark when the leads swaps. I have seen many body swapping dramas, for example chinese drama the day of becoming you, it is an excellent example of body swapping acting.

But if its about filial pity then how come prince choose to stand against his brother when he saw plight of dancer . If one character can do then why can't the other ?

I have a question for second male lead .

Why he is so loyal to his father? His father always mistreated him, never let him forget his origins, always prefer eldest son over the sml . Then why he is so loyal to his father.

The prince and Eun-jo feeling changed for the king when he saw king and his cruelty, Sml is smart enough to piece together the story ....so he must have pieced that together king's concubine story when he saw the her being rescued by the prince out of his house ..he could piece together that the concubine is one of his father's aid ..yet he was loyal to the father.

His character is truly a mystery for me.

I recently finished second season of this drama .It was really good but opening ending made me curious .
like many others said , the last scene can be Shen YI dream , But I think different.
The way Du cheng acted in last episode , he said that Jiang feng mature meaning he can deligate his responsibility to him. so I think it could be indication from writer that we might not see Du cheng in next season just how captain lei were lost for Du cheng but end up inspiring Du cheng , what if the arc repears with du cheng character inspire shen yi not to go off rails when it comes to saving life.
plus in the second season they did introduced equally genius and powerful character in form of Fang kai Yi .
This is all my speculations who knows how season 3 comes out .

I agree with most of your comment but I see point no.3 differently .
I don't think XZ got angry to shake up all the heaven . I believe he sent his energy to locate the east sea since the general told him how the east sea is boundless and it's location is not fixed . so he sent his energy to locate the sea as soon as possible and then he took the permission from heavenly kind to confirm the claims of general as he was in total disbelief rhta SL perished .

I think that is why her holiness ( SL shifu ) was on edge for calling of the marriage . It feels like immortal relam is dire need of having an alliance with heavenly ones while later barely care . That is why no sort of aid were sent to immortal relam which sustain grave losses. The heavenly people were much more invested in hearing the outcome not about the devastation it left behind .

i agree , by facial expression she hardly looked shocked but her eyes were saying otherwise .
i think because it's what kind of life she lead.
she kind of trained not to show her emotions especially as she is girl . if you remember the scene , she burnt her hand while pouring it for ml with bare hands but she hardly showed any pain on her face . and the ml said that she is girl and act like one and for once show that she also feels pain .

As of now ep 40 ...FJ haven't even touched FH ...so we don't expect her to get pregnant .
And even if she get pregnant , it will be later after ep 46 and after that she needs 9 mths to keep the baby in womb . Till then Tilan would have already given birth ...so even if tilan baby dies there will be huge time difference between her child and FH ( is she managed to get preggo by ep 46) . And I don't think with age difference ...replacing emperor child in secrecy is possible .
So like I stated I refuse to believe in rumour that stated the fact of Tilan child ....
What if thanks to yi coup though tilan baby survives but emperor dies followed by tilan ....then there is no choice but to make little kid sit on throne while FH rules as regent ( because emperor never divorced her , she is his wife and after his death ....she can claim legal tittle of empress.
That makes your theory of still birth entirely in correct

Is it still a rumour . We are expecting Tilan to get pregnant but she was declared barren ...later she some how conceived...so I choose not to trust rumour any more .
From ep 46 trailer , it do like sad ending for tilan and emperor ..bit I still wait .
And after make it clear that emperor only loves Tilan and in order to save FH he made her consort ,I don't think emperor will declare FH as empress until he is alive .

No, according to the ancient medical scripture , any poisonncan be cured with the dragon tail blessing . The mer folk tears in from of pearls only help in stabilizing and not curing the person.
So emperor want to search for dragon tail and want to send people but in case she failed ...he want to have the pearls which prolongs FJ lives .... So he wants more pearls not exactly more people from mer folk

Yes , FH proved herself that even though she may be a woman but she is not second to anyone . And I like how emperor is trying to break the stereotypical thinking of society that court is no place for women . Whether Ministers said that because JC instructions or it is typical belief of that era that women are meant to be domesticated , I am very happy that emperor how opposed the idea and proposed to to award a post to Haishi. It shows that he want to change the society and Haishi is the beginning of this change .

I loved the character arc of emperor past few episode that highlight that he is not really a bad guy despite hurting tilan , he cares about the people closes to him . And he wanted to do everything to protect them . So I liked how he tried to talk sense to FJ , to believe in Haishi and to let her go ...because that the only way Haishi can move on .

I don't see the scene where FJ tells emperor that it was him that told him about Haishi leaving for the port was hilarious , rather it was Just shows that how much he obsessed with Haishi that even in half conscious state he can only hear about haishi and ignore the other matters .
And that's proves his following action where he rushes to aid Haishi , not trusting her capabilities that she can crack the case on her own . She has proved once again that she is capable enough (previously she saved the people from desert on her own when she was all alone under the watchful eyes of enemies ). Shifu now know that she will be fine on her own but he can;t let go of her because of his obsession with her ...honestly his character is getting annoying now .
FJ entrusted FH to emperor without even considering her feeling and acting all cold hearted, so she can hate him and move on ...but if he keep showing his soft side (like checking up on her at night , watching her from far ....) how he expect her to move on ? he is too cruel for considering only his point of view of right and wrong and not considering anyone else opinion , feelings.
At this point FJ is no longer a man of rational mind but he has become an man who stupid enough to give up on life even without try and we dont know for what ?
He got pearl medicines that can prolong his life , give him chance to spend more time to with FH but he still refuse to take them . He told of cure , but he dont want to put haishi in danger even though he himself witness how mermaid rushes to her aid when ever FH is in water and it is the most safe place for her than any other place . He is too stubborn to die that I doubt that even god can save him if he keep going like this . I still dont get his excuse of protecting haishi when his death will the one that would bring most pain to haishi ....more if she knew that he hid the poison thing from her . (she could have easily help him to deal with poison that to her hand mark ...)...
The last 2 episodes were nothing but frustrating ...
