You remember, episode 4, when Jiang Yuelou, Chen Yuzhi, Song Rong and Sun Yongren left the train after returning from Hong Kong? Jiang Yuelou told Chen Yuzhi that he must not tell anybody that they met in Hong Kong but in Suzhou. I think it's the same city in both, the Poem and the tv drama.

And I am happy that you are still reading KaH 2. It's more than a year since chapter one had been published, I really thought I will have finished it at this point but... we have a number of chapters to go. It's ridiculously long already 😂

You know, Lychee, Cqlove and me tried to figure out the meaning of 江枫渔⽕ last year and we failed but it was fun to try. TomAnjun (from our discord server) then told me about the poem and that the Chinese fandom came up with this ship name.

There aren't much dramas out there I would compare to KaH. I watched Guardian before and even if you can see that it had a lower budget it was a really good show. The main actors have a great chemistry. My number 2 BL/Broman e drama. Silent Criminal, The Untamed and S.C.I. Mystery, all three also BL/Bromance, are great too.

Non BL dramas I can recommend are Arsenal Military Academy (Republican Era like KaH), The Legends (is a costume drama but quite unusual. Liked it very much), Medical Examiner Qin (Season 1, great chemistry between the three main actors).

And there is a GL drama, I didn't watch it yet, called Couple of Mirrors (also Republican Era) which people seem to like quite a bit.

Ok, I'll be honest. First, this is the best Chinese drama I've ever watched and I am stupidly addicted. It is so we'll made and especially the relationship between the two main leads is depicted in such a loveable way, it would be a shame if you miss this. The main actors have such an intense chemistry and acted damn good, it often just makes you happy to watch them. And we get a lot of really nice, warm and fluffy scenes. I don't know how much you have watched but most of the support roles are also perfectly written and more than just worth the watch.

Now, the ending. Sorry, but if you watch it 'til the last second it is sad as f*ck. Sorry, I cannot find a better word. But, this ending was acted so so good by one certain actor. I cried but in the end never regreted watching it. You can stop at a certain point in the last episode. Just a little bit before the sad part happens and you won't miss anything of the story. It is really sad in the episodes before too but the ending, well it moved me more than anything I have watched before.

Just consider giving KaH a chance and just don't watch after both actors in this scene ended their talk. They start walking and you can stop right after they have taken their first step. Everything is fine.

There is an alternative ending at YouTube made by MangoTV but imho it's quite bad. Just new arranged scenes no new takes. There is also a YouTube video called Blissful. It's a really good edited fan made vid, a good alternative ending if you consider the available material. And we have lots of fanfics which don't know anything about the original ending. If you are into reading, AO3 is a good place.

They beat every other couple in a Chinese drama I have watched so far, be it BL or BG. They are so far far above anyone else ... I mean look what they did. They made write fanfics and I am doing this since more than a year now. Never did it before. YueZhi are just so special.

I started it some days before I stumbled upon Killer and Healer last year. Only watched a few episodes. Maybe I will look it up later again. Then I can tell you what I think about their chemistry.

So adorable that it hurts. Everytime I see some of the few stuff with Mao Zijun and Yi Bochen together I just desperately wish for them to work together again. I know chances are small but I think they both were at their best when they worked with each other.

It's my fav Cdama. I finished watching it more than a year ago and still haven't moved on. I hope you will stick to it. Also, If you are into reading, there is an official novel (a little bit more explicit regarding their feelings) and more than 220 fanfics on AO3.

One last thing, the audio drama, is just great and the most explicit version in the franchise (not completely translated but it is so so good).

Imho, this is like 1000times Guardian when it comes to the chemistry of the two male leads and I really like Guardian (my number 2 when it comes to BL shows). This falls under the category BROMANCE MY ASS. 😁 I never have seen more romance in a Chinese BL drama then in Killer nd Healer. Censored yes, but obviously so much more than just bromance. And the main female character is so loveable and doesn't annoy or disturb the two boys for even a second.
