You can try Legend of the Dragon Pearl. He acts as the second lead (was the only show I got second-lead-syndrom). It's from 2017 situated in Qing dynasty. Nothing I would re-watch but it wasn't a bad drama.

It is not sure if the novel will be translated til the end. The translator team "Steamy Wonton" stopped in June. You can use deepl to translate the last chapters. Deepl does a really good job.

I like to share these information and maybe lure ppl into loving the drama like I do. 😁

I read the first 27 chapters from around April/May til June this year and then the translators stopped (no clue why). I just recently got the chance to get the last chapters from 28 on (deepl translator does a good job btw). I forgot quite an amount of stuff from the first chapters but I couldn't recall too graphic or otherwise disturbing scenes, even regarding Zhan Junbai. The novel was written after the script of the tv show, so they aren't that much different. The audio drama is more explicit when it comes to the relationship of Chen Yuzhi and Jiang Yuelou and I can recall some scenes which were more violent than in the tv show. I can imagine that Zhan Junbai may turn out more psycho in the audio drama but I am not sure about that. Just a guess.

Yes, please do. It is worth it. Some ppl just didn't watch like the last five minutes of the last episode. You can also do that and will have a nice ending. This show has so much exceptional happy, fluffy (like surprisingly really fluffy regarding the two mains, sometimes I wonder how some scenes could have passed censorship), sad scenes which are all executed just perfectly. And the cat is cool (if you like cats... If not you probably wil after watching the show 😸).

Despite the official ending Killer and Healer is the best Chineses drama I have ever watched. Would be nice if you give it a try. The drama deserves it.
