Some months ago after finishing KaH I thought that these characters are in parts similar to the main characters of The Journey to the West. Somehow, while writing the chapter, I wanted to implement The Journey to the West.

If you want a nice alternative ending , you can watch a fanmade vid called "Blissful" at YouTube. It'svery well made. I have read that the novel and the audio drama also should have nicer endings but sadly both are not fully translated yet.

I was searching for funeral rituals and what ppl would engrave on tombstones in China in the 1930s and then this Chengyu popped up in a forum I was reading. That struck me like "This is what Yuelou would feel for Yuzhi."
