The female lead in this drama was obviously just added to avoid censorship but the character is written very well. Never annoying and always supporting the two male leads. Chu Ran is the best female character in a BL show you can find. She is very lovely and never spoils the mood.

Honestly, many details just come to my mind while I'm writing and at the end a big part of each chapter turns out very different to what I had intended in the first place. The world has a life of it's own and often it just feels like I am writing down the ideas of someone else. When I wrote more chapters and you have a better picture were it is heading to then maybe you can share some ideas, if you feel like it. It's nice to read that I managed to make you scream at your screen, especially because it is the first time for me to write a story. I hope you will stuck to it til the end. I am happy about feedback like yours 🥰

Sorry to read that. I guess you mean Mao Zijun. I think he is one of the best you can find in this generation of Chinese actors. I couldn't see any overhype as he seems not as well-known as many other less versatile and less experienced actors. He also didn't get many main roles so far.

This drama should truly get so much more attention. But it's from MGTV and they seemingly do poor advertisement for all of their dramas.

Imho it's censored BL not just Bromance. You get a lot of hints during the show that their relationship is a romantic one not just friendship and although it's censored (it's chinese so we cannot expect something uncensored) it's one hell of a romance. The chemistry between Mao Zijun and Yi Bochen is over the top. I never watched a bromance/BL show with such a good chemistry.
Did you watch Guardian? I like that show mostly because of the chemistry between the two leads. Killer and Healer is like 1000% Guardian when it comes to the chemistry. And you also get many perfectly chosen actors for the side characters, a good story, perfect and beautiful music and sets ...and a cute cat. Best Chinese drama I have ever watched.

I try to publish new chapters once a week. Right now there are 8 in total and the next one is nearly finished. It's kind of a second season and starts after the last episode. Hope you'll like it.

I know exactly how you feel. My thoughts are still occupied mostly with KaH. At one point I felt the strong need for a continuation of the story and started writing a fanfic (never did that before for any other show) because I couldn't move on after had watched the last episode.

A Couple of Mirrors is Sismance/GL (never watched GL before). The story also sets in the Republican era (it was filmed at the same location like KaH so the setting should be very familiar).

Yeah, when I read that I couldn't believe it either. His acting was amazing, wasn't it?

I watched S.C.I. about a year ago. If I would have watched it after KaH I probably wouldn't have liked it that much. It's not as good as KaH but it isn't a bad show. The ending was quite good.

Right now, three months after finishing KaH I wasn't able to watch any other Chinese drama. I tried though. Maybe I will try "A Couple of Mirrors" in the near future.

I think their ship name is WeiLan but I'm not 100% sure.
