Oof. So basically, in her last few projects—even though she was the top-billed actress—the crew, director, and even her own studio have been mistreating her. I read that in FOF, she was the main lead, but was treated worse than even the supporting actors. The same thing is happening again in VOS. It also started happening in recent promos for The Glory, but I probably shouldn’t touch on that too much.
Her fans are speaking up and defending her, asking the studio to show her some love, and for the staff and director to treat her fairly. Some are even asking her to stay away from GJ__ or for him to keep his distance from her entirely.

Zhuang is under the protection of the imperial guards by the emperor’s order, led by Fu Yunxi. If anything happens to him, Fu Yunxi will be held responsible—and the penalty is death.

One of the main themes in the series is winter, which represents her. (They filmed this during warm weather, so the actors were actually sweating bullets but had to act as if it were cold.) In episode 15, the cherry blossom petals serve as a metaphor for spring, symbolizing the emotional shifts in the characters as the seasons change. When he “accidentally” kissed her, she didn’t resist or pull away—her fingers gently curled and brushed against the fabric of his sleeve, which was a gesture that shows she wasn’t unwilling. Most of their tender moments are consistently symbolized by fireworks, such as the reverse kebedon, the bridge scene, and the horse-riding scene. Just to clarify though, you’re not talking about the one where Tutu and Xin Yunlai were clad in yellow, ya? If so, I think that’s a different show. I read somewhere that it’s a new game show produced by Tencent, and it’s supposed to start airing at the end of April.

I had to use a translator on my phone, but the subtitles were bad. From what I can gather:

-Dudu was deadass dragging an actual human body. So, for anyone who had doubts about her before, well, now you know xD. Even the director said he felt bad for her—she’s this tiny thing, but they wanted it to be realistic and for her emotions and struggles to feel genuine.

-They were really frightened by the mother’s performance.

-When they watched some Game Eastern TV drama, the instant they saw the mirror demon (played by Dudu), they knew they’d found their Zhuang Hanyan.

-One of the key scenes that touched the director the most was the water prison scene. He explained that it was when you truly see how much Fu Yunxi loves her. (I guess he pulled a Chai Jing, yeah?). He said he was so moved by his confession to her, he didn’t see him as actor Xin Yunlai but as Fu Yunxi at that moment.

Sorry, I couldn’t really understand the rest.

Has anyone seen this? It’s a short interview with the director and producer (I think). Spoilers.

From the moment he met her, he was already drawn to her. He’d never met anyone like her. He tried to resist her, but when he saw how she was willing to turn herself in to save her friend—or how relentless she was in protecting her family—he completely fell for her. Of course, he can’t let her know that. But if you look closely, you can tell—he’s been showing signs of affection since the very beginning.
