Exactly so true. I always felt that Mumu is actually the mature one in their relationship. Some Ppl assume that if a char is cute it means that they r automatically dumb but that's not the case always. N certainly not with Jiang Mu's char. She felt safe enough to show her playful nature in front of Zhao. She nvr did that in front of other guys. N there r ppl IRL who like to do that with their lovers. There's nothing wrong with that. I mean y can't we appreciate these cheerful n bold chars just like we do for the introvert or serious chars.

Some haters(wanna emphasize that I'm NOT taking about the genuine harmless critics) tried to manipulate the audience about both the leads. Like at first they were like Heyu wouldn't suit the role. He isn't that famous so he doesn't deserve this role. Then they targeted Esther by making derogatory comments about her n also saying that she acted "cringe" or "childlike". N mind u it was even before SAL was released. Then ppl pointed out how accounts with only 1 or 2 followers got millions of views on negative videos about Esther. So quite obvious that eveything was planned.
She is the perfect Jiang Mu. Both her n Heyu proved that if a character demands u to act in a certain way as a professional actor u should be able to deliver them. N both of them nailed it. She didn't feel cringe at all. It wasn't over-the-top instead she is effortlessly cute. The smear campaign against her was insane. I still remember how ppl started targeting her without any reason or proof. I'm happy that things r finally getting back to normal now. I know both of them r super talented n will always be rooting for them.
