There is one thing, you overlook, while criticising my statement. I never claimed women between 20 and 30 aren't beautiful. Of course they are, otherwise, I'd not cheer for actresses like Li Qin, Chai Bi Yun, Gong Mi and others, whom I came to love long before they turned 30. What I said is, that women of 30+ are in their most beautiful years. And I don't just talk about actresses, I also talk about the common women living next door. Why not feeling "old" at 40+ or 50+ keeps me or any other woman from accepting reality, makes me wonder!!! What reality??? The reality of rules made up by skinny models, beauty selling, make-up selling and fashion selling industries??? Bahahaha!!! And why would not feeling "old" at 40 or 50 would keep me from aging gracefully??? You've never seen women like the great actresses of the Golden Era of movie making then, if you're convinced that a woman of 50+ can't look like a goddess anymore.
But in a world that preaches and sells youth and youthful looks over everything and tells people, there is no life beyond 30, it's clear that the 20-30 girls are preferred, even if they all look like clones, because they have to see the dentist, first, and the plastic surgeon before they are even allowed to act in front of a camera,
I'd always prefer acots and actresses of 30+ and above, because: (1), it's no secret that women and men are the most beautiful between 30 and 50 (2), the biggest part of the actors/actresses of 30+ and above have seen at least one drama school, academy of perfroming arts or anything similar, while a lot of generation 20 (at the moment) rather come from talent shows, other branches (singing/dancing/modelling) or simply got promoted idols (3), an experienced actor is able to perform characters of many different ages (an actor like Han Dong, for example, who turns 40 next Wednesday, is easily able to portray a young man in his twenties and also a man in his fifties, while a little flowerboy, like they pop up in dozens, at the moment, does not have the facial structure to play an older man. The young and still a little childlike features simply are young and still a little childlike, which makes it look incredibly dump and fake if such a face gets made looking older via make-up. (4), a (good) director can use a 30+ actor/actress for all stages of age (except for childhood scenes, of course), which not only makes the character's development believable but also saves the production money, because they have to pay one actor/actress, only, instead of one for every decade of the charater's life.
