Title The Wolf
Barely! Emperor Zhu Wen (Zhu Gui), Zhu Youwen (Prince Bo) & Zhu Yougui were historical Emperors and Princes of…
In an earlier plot summary, it said that the story was set in the Later Liang Dynasty, so, all I had to do is looking it up and - voilá - there were the Emperor and the princes. :D
So, if a Dynasty is given, it's (normally) no problem to find out, who's who.

It's absolutely thrilling to check on all those people. What interesting men and women lived in the ancient days. It never fails to amaze me to discover more.

I'd recommed "Half for the People, half for the Beauties" to you (if it would be subbed). They made a chubby actress one of the female leads. The series should be on YT and perhaps on Dramacool, too, meanwhile.

Might be that his behaviour was one reason why Later Liang didn't last very long. Personally, I'd love more drama series depicting history as it got written down at the time the emperors lived and not the way, novellists and screenwriters and censors feed it to us. Let's bet on how thrilling palace drama REALLY could be...

Aaaaand she lies in bed again... *rolls eyes*
Oh man! Does she need a time-out every two episodes???
Honestly, I really don't know anymore, why I waited for this for the bygone two years...

Historical Emperor Zhu Wen (Zhu Gui) DID exactly what HE wanted and didn't give a damn about his minsters and court officials, so THAT gets perfectly depicted in this series:

Yes! Numerous drama series borrow emperors, princes, poets, scholars, warriors etc. from history, mostly even under their real name. But in most cases I find the real historical events way more thrilling than anything novellists or screenwriters could ever make up.

Anytime! History is quite thrilling and I confess, I'd actually like to see a series based on their real lives. I bet that would be totally amazing.

I hoper they make another ending like ruyi pavillion (it has modern era ending)
Barely!
Emperor Zhu Wen (Zhu Gui), Zhu Youwen (Prince Bo) & Zhu Yougui were historical Emperors and Princes of the Later Liang Dynasty who got used as characters in the novel, this series is based on. So, there surely won't be some fantastic modern day ending, as these three are not fictional or original characters...

It's amazing what nice discussions can develop from a little musing over a drama Emperor. :D

Whaa!!! I wished I could do so as well, one day.
When I was a teen in the 1980s, I watched a Chinese-Japanese docu about the Silkroad. I'll never forget this. Same goes for Kitaro's lovely music for the series.

Yup!
Which makes me remember a time where archaeologists claimed the Roman Empire and the Chinese Dynasties didn't know about each other.
It was too funny to see those idiots when ancient shards of Roman glass got found in Xi'an (Chang'an) and when they found Chinese crafts in ancient Roman excavations.
There went their idiot-theroies: "Poof"...

Yep! I agree! The censors would have difficulties to breathe. lol

Still interesting, though, that amongst the Chinese Emperors are definitely some, who could easily compete with their cousins of the Roman Empire. If I think of Caligula, Claudius, Nero and some other monsters who ruled Rome back then, Zhu Wen would surely have enjoyed their complany.
