Sis, it's a romance. The plot is the romance. It's not non-existent, we got three whole couples worth of plot!…
I’m sure we saw the same pilot. I’ve just read too many omegaverses I guess so I expected more after seeing it. They did set a tone with the music and their words of dominance and intelligence which I don’t think they’ve shown. I think there’s a lot more to ask. As it is now it’s all just talk and little shown. I think it’s boring. Nc scenes can’t make up for it I think.

The romance is the plot? Oh dear… that’s the weakest take on a plot. Something more must happen for the romance to even be interesting. They promised a lot in the pilot. Where is it? You can get an interesting story and still include the romance. But making it all about the romance is boring. In my opinion. Don’t give me crumbs, I want the cookie. And I don’t want my cookie filled with [plot]holes.
After 4 ep I can confidently say that this is a snooze fest. Where’s the action? Where’s the drama? The script is a mess, the plot is non existing, the acting is sub par and, idk, everything is cheap. Give them a bigger budget, a better script and acting lessons and then get back to me.
I did change my mind about Nakhin though. He’s a cinnamon roll simping for Ongsa.
I’ll probably drop this or put it on hold… likely indefinitely.
On ep 2 and I wonder what the plot actually is. I guess I’ll find out eventually. One thing I say is; that frantic rubbing against each other fully clothed ain’t sexy at all. No, it’s rather offputting and annoying. If that’s how all their nc/sex scenes are gonna be then I’m gonna ff them.
”I respect all your fetishes.” - Ju Tae Seon, 2026
Absolutely loved this series but there was a lot more potential to be even better and bigger. Some plotholes that never got filled. I liked the detective work and would have loved if they had actually gotten more cases to work on. Maybe they could have made this into the standard 16 ep series with the BL on the side if you get what I mean. Anyway, the fetishes aside (there aren’t any) it was the right amount of NC and the kissing was kissing. The romance didn’t overshadow the plot which I appreciate.
I love Fah and Phoon. 🥰 I can’t help but smile like a silly person every time I see them. Their confession is the second best in bl after Win and Team and you can try and fight me on that.
Anyway, it took me a while to get to the third story but now it’s over and I’m not impressed. For the first time I actually speed up some episodes at the end. It got so boring. The only interesting part was Singha and Ben and the mafia. I wish we could get a spin off with more of that and more focus on the mafia part and less moosh.
Arthit is an ahole but what can you do. The story’s interesting. Likewise is Phoon and Fah’s.
The star of this whole saga (pt 1 and 2) thou is North hands up. Without him there would he no series.
I'm pretty sure there are more series with healthy couples than vice versa. As a fan of dark romances, I'm delighted…
I wish there was a balance between the two and not just in favor of one, in this case the dark and toxic ones. I think there is a market for both and I would be happy to see some fluffy cbl too even though dark romance is one of my favorite genres when done well.

I too look forward to more toxic cbl. I just hope they handle them well with good writers and actors so we don’t end up with another mess like this one.
You liking this as your first bl is very interesting to me, what did you like about it?
I find this so interesting because I’m the opposite to you. I’m bipolar and it pisses me off royally that they are using mental illness and especially bd as an explanation (and excuse) for LFs behavior. What and who he is has nothing to do with bd. Imo they should have just let him be the monster he actually is. He would be so much more interesting that way.
Ah, this was such a sweet watch with some mystery sprinkled into it. I absolutely loved it. For once did I love both couples equally and I kind of shipped Chuai and Kongh everytime they were bickering. 😎😘
Say what you want about Domundi but they know how to deliver. The acting, ost, cinematography, writing… it was all there. Some say it’s boring, I say you’re wrong. It’s just wonderful. Def a rewatch on a gloomy day.
Despite this being a pretty well-made drama overall, it always annoys me when they go down the mental illness…
Not to mention the damage a depiction like this does to the bipolar community. It’s stigmatizing enough to have bd without being portrayed like a homicidal, obsessive, stalker, psycho maniac. There is absolutely nothing bipolar about Lu Feng. I wish people stopped writing characters with diagnoses if they have no clue about said diagnoses.
People, before you watch this: the clue is in the tags; abusive and obsessive male lead. Nothing good comes of that combination. You can’t seriously get pissed off by the content with those tags. Don’t watch it if you want cute and fluffy and hurt/comfort. You won’t get it here.
Also, it’s ok to drop a series if it’s triggering you. Why watch something you hate. Already the first episode is foreboding of what’s to come.
Plenty of other bls with clearly bad acting, poor production, and cringe-worthy stories have better ratings than…
I agree with you completely. I can’t understand how people could even expect this to be anything but toxic if they’ve done even the tiniest bit of research, like read the tags or watched the trailer 🙄 It isn’t for everyone and if you don’t like it, don’t watch and definitely don’t rate because it wasn’t the genre you expected. I actually take very lightly the rating here on mdl. I have series I absolutely adore with ratings in the 6’s. It was more like I felt like some people think that if you don’t think this is a masterpiece then you have no clue about the genre and should be quiet and I don't like that sentiment. I thank you for you thoughtful answer.
I watch on IQIYI so I pay my due diligence.

Not sure what to think yet…
