I can’t decide, if her “second in command” of her crew has his suspicions, that her hubby isn’t, who he…
Second option: it was clearly the behavior of someone with a bitter taste in their mouth because the person they love loves someone else. At least he was honorable enough to wish her the best, saying that as long as she is happy, he is too.

It really wasn’t necessary to include today’s events. Honestly, the fact that she managed to get Sui Yuanqing out of the camp is illogical, especially considering how important he is to the war and the fact that many soldiers only obey Xie Zheng.

The fact that she was able to take him out is simply incomprehensible. Whether he’s in love or not, Xie Zheng would never have allowed anyone to remove such an important asset as Sui Yuanqing, even if it were her. The situation is very absurd.

There was no need to make her act this way. I know the rest will be better, but I hope this kind of scene doesn’t happen again. It was stupid. After everything she has been through, she should at least understand the idea of military sacrifice. The dam situation clearly showed that, for the greater good, one must be ready to make sacrifices and control their emotions.

The search for Chang Ning should have taught her patience and self-control. It was too much. This is the first episode where I have something to criticize about the writing; this part was handled better in the novel.

In the novel, even though she isn’t very educated and is impulsive, she didn’t come across as this naive during this arc. I hope her character continues to develop in the right direction.

But I really loved their moments together.

That spit of blood when he heard about the divorce 😂😂😂. The divorce hurt him more than his injury he almost died on the spot 😂.

I don’t think he understands love the way most people do. He only understands possession and power. He just…
I completely agree. He deserves an end as miserable as the misery he has caused. His character doesn’t deserve a second chance.

I’m not sure that justifies everything. Saying he has no redeeming qualities simply because he’s been traumatized is an oversimplification of his character. Trauma explains some wounds, but it doesn’t necessarily erase all morality or the ability to make choices. Many broken people still find ways to love, protect, or change. It’s not just about surviving it’s about deciding how to survive.

The fact that he has suffered betrayals, losses, and pain doesn’t automatically make his vices justifiable or his inability to love excusable. We can acknowledge his suffering, but that’s all. If he has the capacity to think and plan, he also has the capacity to choose to be better, even in small ways but he refuses. It’s not trauma that makes him cruel; it’s his obsession and narcissism.

In short, we can understand his past without turning it into an excuse for him to remain a monster. Saving or protecting Qian Qian isn’t love it’s just disguised control, the power to decide for her.

A bad man can choose to act better toward his wife or loved ones, but that doesn’t make him heroic if he continues committing atrocities toward others. In the novel, his character is deeply controlling and narcissistic. Choosing the wrong path is a decision, not a fatality. He wants to make others suffer as he has suffered. His reasoning is sharp he could show good qualities but by killing those who follow him, they began to fear him and lose trust, which explains why he continues to be betrayed and abandoned.

Ultimately, he has chosen to be a monster toward the people around him, despite his great intelligence. That’s why I think he simply hasn’t met someone capable of awakening his sensitivity and steering him onto a different path.

Indeed, he doesn’t understand, and his paranoia only amplifies his madness. But he’s not truly insane he has traumas, yes, but he thinks very clearly, even far better than Sui Yuanqing. The problem is that he simply isn’t genuinely moved by Qian Qian, and she doesn’t make him feel the need to be better toward her.

She doesn’t inspire him to hide his darkness; if anything, she seems to reinforce his vices. He has never tried to show his best side to her. That’s exactly why Qian Qian was so worried about him finding her all she’s ever known from him is the darkest side of this man.

He is trash tbh the way he treats humans, i just can't like him 💀🙏Also he just wants the FL cus she feels…
He’s honestly a complete lunatic and a monster. I don’t like his character either. I see so many edits that romanticize his relationship with Qian Qian, even though there is absolutely no love in it. It’s just a woman trapped with a deranged man.

More I think about it, the more I’m convinced that Qin Min doesn’t truly love Qian Qian. He’s simply obsessed with her. If he really loved her, he would have made the effort to change and become better for her. Even the cruelest man can show tenderness and affection toward the woman he sincerely loves.
Qin Min probably believes that he loves her, but in reality he’s fascinated by the fact that Qian Qian never tries to please him or bend to his will. He’s the type of man who becomes addicted to what he cannot have, drawn to the unreachable.
He has never stopped himself from seeking other women, and he never even tried to love the child they had together. That alone shows that what he feels isn’t real love. In my opinion, if Qian Qian had eventually given in and fully submitted to his expectations, his obsession would have simply shifted to another unreachable target.
His behavior feels both narcissistic and somewhat masochistic. It even makes me think that he doesn’t truly understand what love or romantic affection really is.
He seems like the kind of man who, after completely crushing and breaking Qian Qian, would eventually meet a woman who is the complete opposite of her and fall in love for the first time. And only then would he be willing to do anything for her, even change.

The general and his commanders are on horseback while the soldiers have to run just to keep up with them what madness 😂😂. But I love battle scenes 😂.

Xie Zhang was so savage in the confrontation scene with Sui Yuanqing. I really needed a scene like that where he completely farms aura in a battle. 🔥🔥

Why even bring up this trope here of SML falling for her. She is really a married woman. I kind of find it disgusting.
I feel the same. why is he even interested in a married woman who clearly loves her husband? I just don’t get his reasoning.

I know he likes CY I mean how can he not? The girl is a gem. But she's taken and he should know that seeing as…
I wish his character were more decisive and acted on his own desires, unlike in the novel. I just hope he doesn’t become a problem for our protagonists.

When Li Huai saw the divorce letter, he smiled subtly. My friend, you’re not even on the waiting list… because there isn’t one 😂.
My girl has only Yan Zeng on her mind. I wonder when he started falling for her. He’s the type to fall for married women 😆. He clearly saw that Xie Zheng was serious about his wife and that she was obviously attracted to him.
Li Huai… you really like to hurt yourself.

I have a few recommendations. They’re not exactly what you’re looking for, but they’re really good novels.
At your own risk the novel and the drama have major differences, but the novel is explicit and the practices are really old-school. Wei Shao can be truly cruel and untrustworthy 😂.

Ah, I forgot to mention the first one you might know by another name (The Prisoner of Beauty). So just skip it and go straight to the others; it’s a rather difficult read
