I know right... I was just thinking about that... Currently watching episode 13. I am watching the scene where…
I know this is a year late response but I'm currently just watching this and I was getting frustrated with the coach but held on with the hope of the coach getting better like you said but NO, he didn't. Episode 29/33 and he's pretty much still a selfish bastard who kept using Zhengyi's trust for him. Never corrected Xiaoyi's narcissistic behaviour because how could he? He's a selfish manipulative person himself. Him, his sister and Xiaoyi. The Xiaos made sure they were thoroughly well hated in this drama.
I'm on episode 14. Am I supposed to like or even care about Luo Xiao Yi? So far, she seems petty, small-minded,…
I just started watching this drama. Already in episode 14 anyway and I specifically came to the comments to see if anyone had the same opinion as me concerning the two siblings Xiao Han and Xiao Qing. Han never corrected Xiaoyi's narcissism. Xiao Qing was just a scheming b*tch tbh. The sketchbook incident like you mentioned just left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't care for both of them.
It may be strange to you but this is very common in Asian households not all though. I've seen some international…
I did get frustrated watching this cos of the mum till I saw a Tiktok where this Chinese lady said she could relate with it because her mum and she was far away on the other side of the world from China for that reason. And I just went oh.... That's a horrible thing for anyone to go through. It's interesting to see how your experiences and world view affect your enjoyment of something. For me, it was absolutely frustrating
However, hating a character in a drama does not reflect the whole story. People find her annoying and definitely…
Said character was there 99.99% of the time, so yes her character plays a big role in a general dislike or like as was the case for you, for anyone watching this drama
I was quite disappointed with the ending. Typical of Joseon era kdramas, there's a lot of politics going on and the crown prince is framed so they can get rid of him for their evil plans. He works his way through all the betrayals, scheming and near-death events and eventually makes it to the throne as king, only to just write a letter to his younger brother to take over as king (like the throne was supposed to be a toy they pass around) so he could be with the woman he loves. He takes up the job of a secret royal inspector and I think he looks stupendous doing that. There's a whole lot of rush at the end too cos all of a sudden he's married and just before I'm about to process that, he has a kid who's probably around 1 or 2 years maybe. And mind you, his brother is quite very gullible and easily manipulated, I wonder what the future of the kingdom will be under his reign. It just didn't make sense to go through all that trouble just to abandon the kingdom for possible ruin again π€·π½ββοΈ.
I wonder how many really good dramas I've missed because of MDL ratings like this one. Trust MDL ratings at your own peril. Well, not all the time but damnit, who are the people rating this drama this low?
I like the FL actress but I really have always been very unimpressed by the ML actor in the past. How is he here?
I've always thought he wasn't that good of an actor, especially with his facial expressions. This is one of the only two dramas I've seen him in where I think he did an okay jobπ€·π½ββοΈ. My problem is the FL. I just can't with the character. The actress playing the role has always been a pretty ok actress in my opinion.
I'm just in episode 5 of this drama and so far so good, I'll rate it a 7/10 at best. Hopefully, there's some redemption to the whole mess going on in the Bok family with this manipulative Da-hae cos I don't understand why she should be able to play everyone like that.
I literally came to search for reviews on how purely evil and manipulative she is. I'm trying to finish it up though to see if there's any character development. All the reviews I've read here that highlighted their love for the drama say nothing about this particular issue and it's disturbing. I'm just so frustrated at how she's using a man that has clearly suffered so much. Every time I think she's about to have a change of heart, she does another evil deed.
dropped on episode 15! This Kdrama is a dumpster fire!
You were already at the ending though. Lol. I'm just watching it for the first time and I hated episode 15 but I'm just going to complete it cos I mean, it's already the ending π€·π½ββοΈ
