I rewatched this and wow. It hit harder this time. I felt so bad for Dong sik. Definitely one of the best kdramas ever made, my favorite in the crime thriller genre. They don’t make dramas like this anymore. I’m glad it won the daesang tho!!

You realize the man portrayal in kdramas are just to cover up real man in korea. The fact that this is the highest paid actor is sickening. And the double standards for man and woman are very obvious. As long as sk covers up these sick and psycho of their artists, dramas like these will mean nothing because each day with another scandal more people will realize this industry doesn’t reflect reality at all and their entertainment industry is based on huge lies.

It’s so sad that he’s actually a talented young actor but his roles are typecasted. His acting in night has come was on point, he could nail morally grey characters interesting plot. I want to see him in a main role. Idk if he has to chose these roles or preference but ne needs to take off from some point. Hopefully in 2026.
