Agree, I like the natural comedic moments like Fangs of Fortune offered.

I'd rather have a court jester than the slapstick comedy in GOTD. It's good but that slapstick is cringy at times.

ZJW did a great job in his last full length series with Bai Lui. Nice to see him again, even if it's a mini, but hope the industry makes full use of his talents in longer series in the future.

Yes, this trope is in many c-dramas. I always wait for the real passion to begin as those frozen kisses where nothing moves are painful to watch as the seconds go by, tick, tick, tick and nothing moves, lol.

I am too, except for the frozen lip-sicle kiss in ep 13, lol. I know it's supposed to mean she was surprised by it but I'll wait for the real thing in future episodes where there is actual movement.

I've come to the determination that, with these c-dramas, a lot of them end on a sad note; thus, I just use my imagination to make it end the way I want to. That way, you can finish the drama or you can watch to the second to last episode and then not finish the very end. Hope something works for you so you don't have to pass up these great c-dramas.

At ep 11, the slapstick is through the roof, lol. Not usually my thing as well but it has enough action, story line and a great cast that I'm enjoying it.

Aside from the fact that he was on a Chinese recommended walking tour to take pictures in front of the cherry blossoms, when does the hate end that happened before he was born and for which he is being held accountable for merely being in the proximity of a shrine. It's similar to what's happening in the United States. African Americans, in the State of California, whose ancestors were slaves on another coast clear across the country, are asking/expecting compensation for what happened 175 years ago, even though there were never slaves in California in the first place. We are expected to account for something that happened before we were even born and across the country. At some point, this ridiculousness has to end. It's easy to act morally superior but ruining someone's livelihood for a ridiculous reason is unjustified.

Deserves to bump up to ML roles; oozes sex appeal, great acting, has the looks and talent.

These series are coming out fast and furious. I have so many on hold while I try to finish the best of the bunch. Somebody make the days longer.

I hear what you are saying. People lament all the time about why some of their favorite second leads or actors that play the mini's all the time don't get lead roles and talented actors that people love, like Zhang Zhehan were ushered out of the acting business for good due to the actions of China's water armies and Weibo who, it is alleged, allowed negative, false narratives to flourish on their site (sold my Weibo stock as a result.) I don't think anything is going to change in the near term.
