is anyone else ocassionally missing the subtitles at parts on netflix?? i just finished ep 3...and the wholeeee…
I played around with language and subtitles and dubs (I watch with original Korean with English subs. After various tries I found it worked with Korean language with Korean subs I then used Google Translate and watched it through the app camera. Luckily it was only that once and only for maybe less than a minute at the end of episode 3 Keep On Running”
On regular Kdramas (16 eps or so) I usually watch the into on first and last episodes skipping it all other times but the into on this drama is so entertaining I’ve watched it each time!
I’m near the end now and I’ve been enjoying this revisionist’s version of history just to image if it were…
Great comments! I’ve been what I call “slow watching” (not bingeing just taking my time between other dramas) because after The Throne I don’t want to see that ending again but Im curious how they handle it here.
Same here and Thank You for mentioning The Royal Gambler! I hadn’t seen it and didn’t realize it was that…
Read about but haven’t watched yet. They’re all on my list though! And I’m glad I watch alone because I’ll have a question then pause and go to Wiki then come back haha

Jang Ok Jung is definitely up next. I also watched Lee San, Wind in the Palace and Dong Yi . All different takes on the same subject. And of course I read Wikipedia and that’s a whole other story lol
this is just a fairytale story about Crown Prince Sado. even the timelines aren’t historically accurate. i guess…
I’m near the end now and I’ve been enjoying this revisionist’s version of history just to image if it were true. I can imagine how he was manipulated and this version made me see how the king’s impending dementia could have affected his reasoning and given him paranoia and had him believe the lies everyone was telling him. I wonder history would’ve thought of him if we didn’t have Crown Princess’ diary/book.
Some of those characters made me want to stab them in the face with a binyeo! Ha I also just finished rewatching MrQueen where I had a lot of stabby thoughts about some characters.
Netflix let me know this drama is leaving soon so I just finished rewatching! It was one of my first Kdramas and I enjoyed it more 2nd time since I know more about Korean culture and history I understood more.
