The scene with the other partner (?) of the firm was funny. I hope we see more of him. I like his dynamic with Myung Seok. Overall great episode, wish I waited until tomorrow to binge both.
I think this drama highlights a very important part of how people view disabilities. People often say they are okay with them and that they support people with them, and generally that is true, but they often insist that people around them, their loved ones, can’t possible have one. They do it to such an extent it actually hurts those with disabilities outside their sphere, I think. People can be so adamant like “My such-and-such can’t have this”. “they aren’t like those people.” Often it is not said with malice but it nonetheless is detrimental to truly accepting people how they are and helping them cope with whatever difficulties comes with being who that may be. Education and frank conversations about disabilities of all kinds I think will really help improve the frequency which this issue comes up. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know much about developmental disabilities, unfortunately! I am glad that the doctor they saw emphasized disabilities are not diseases but rather a result of an individual’s unique development and only become classified as a disability really if it interferes with daily life. Everyone is unique and like she said you can have 10 people with 10 different characteristics. Rambley but I hope that makes sense.
On to the characters themselves. I think Chika is a wonderful character. She could be called somewhat child-like maybe but really to be she just seems like a very optimistic bubbly type of person. The type of person who always cheers people up. Satoru is also nice. I think it’s realistic to have some mixed feelings about finding out your significant other has a disability previously unknown. He is not dismissive of her, he does not think of divorce. He is simply confused and worried for the future which I think is realistic and a good reaction to news you don’t completely understand. I’m glad he realized she’s the same as before.
I love the webtoon source of this so very pleasantly surprised to see an adaptation on the small screen! I hope they do the author justice. The spruce material is complete so should have a good conclusion too.
Spoilers for episode 7 It looks like mokomi has “lost” her gift. I wonder if that is from emotional strain and she will eventually regain it or if it’s gone for good. I think if it’s gone for good that will be an interesting way to take that story element.
If the thing that has made you a social outcast for such a large chunk of your life but has also kept you happy in your own world and allowed you skills that seem other worldly (picking out screws and flowers as a glance) is gone (forever) how do you adjust? Is it enough to be accepted again?
Lol rambling and she will probs get it back once the issues with her brother are resolved but still
This has been very enjoyable so far, I look forward to the second and final part. I’m not sure if this is romance or not, but if it is the male lead is a kind I wish to see more often. He is polite (from the get go, not just when he started liking her) and listens to what the fl has to say. I’m so tired of “jerk to puppy-love” mls or whatever that trope is.
Even if they don’t get together in the end I’m fine with it as that wasn’t the focus of the special. The focus was on the fl’s journey to have confidence in her poetic(rappatic? Lol) skills and it’s been lovely so far. I really enjoy the haiku’s and lyrics and the translator has done a wonderful job of helping stuff carry into English. I hope there is some way for her to keep her family’s honey business, maybe using her lyrical skills lol.
This is one of those slow-paced, mellow sort of movies that give you a hazy feel. It’s wonderfully filmed. We don’t get a lot of backstory on the characters but that doesn’t matter, the point is the here and now.
Also the summary here is a bit weird. Here is a better one. I think the one here is mtl (like the Mc/ml has a limp, not “leggy” lol) https://asianwiki.com/It_Stopped_Raining
Hi, what’s wrong with Lee Min Ki? Granted I don’t keep up with actor news but I don’t recall him having…
No problem! And yeah, it’s definitely important to have a healthy dose of suspicion in life lol. Much better to have that than be a blind believer against all facts like say the people who come out of the woodwork to defend Kim Hyun Joong (who tbh isn’t even a good actor, idk about singer tho, but just imho). If you get a vibe you don’t like from someone perfectly understandable that you might want to avoid them, even if you can’t concretely point to any issue. That’s true for irl too. And tbh at the end of the day it’s hard to truly ever know a public figure, but generally, a lot of people are decent enough. Again, seems like LMK is fine but understandable why you’re cautious.
If you’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt please do, seeing as you like the rest of the cast a lot! And no problem, I’m not like a huge fan of anyone so I didn’t take offense to your comment lol. Was just curious.
Hi, what’s wrong with Lee Min Ki? Granted I don’t keep up with actor news but I don’t recall him having…
Ah, so I looked up articles and it looks like he was acquitted by the police and then the victim apologized and said she charged “mistakenly”? I mean, from what it looks like it does seem like a non-issue. While it’s important to believe victims it’s also important to have proof. I’m not completely versed in how the sk criminal justice system works but it does seem like he is innocent based on all the info I found. It’s not like Park Shi Hoo or other people like Jo Min Ki where it was very clear based on all the evidence leaked and talked about they were guilty. Or someone like Zico, who hasn’t been accused of anything but was really suspiciously into Jung Joon-young phone (which we later learned might have been his “golden” phone) and buddy buddy on variety shows.
Basically, what I’m saying is while we shouldn’t dismiss people who come forward with accusations and pursue an investigation and charges it’s also important to hold a innocent until proven guilty attitude in a lot of instances. There have been so many scandals that have been false that have almost (or have) ruined people’s lives because of netizen’s tendency to latch onto things. Like Tablo and his college “scandal” when for some reason people just didn’t want to believe he went to Stanford and started fabricating info saying he lied about it. One article I read on the Lee Min Ki thing even said that, even though it was investigated and thrown out quickly it might still greatly affect his career just due to the stigma of even being investigated. This was sort of rambley and not all that articulate, sorry.
But I complete get why you might not want to watch a show with him in it, but maybe give him some benefit of the doubt seeing as it seems like, by all accounts, it was a false accusation. But still, thank you for replying and letting me know!
Have everyone had amnesia? How is this guy still doing dramas?I love Nana and Kang Minhyuk, it's such a shame…
Hi, what’s wrong with Lee Min Ki? Granted I don’t keep up with actor news but I don’t recall him having any issues so genuinely curious. If you’re referring to his acting, he tends to play similar characters but his acting is pretty good.
Why does Ami lowkey have so much weird sexual tension with almost all the men in her life lol? Is this adapted from a smut manga? What was with that scene with the masseuse especially. That lingering hand.
This drama is so “uwu” it makes me feel so fluffy and happy but also at times I feel sad for the situation they’re going through. Like at the end of episode 2.
Can anyone please tell where can i watch this drama. Plsss Plsss
It looks like the rights were gotten by viki and I guess iQIYI, which you can get a free 30 day trail on. I think viki’s trails are 30 days as well. But I also think mgtv will release it on their YouTube channel. Even though the timer says it has been aired I know for shows that air multiple episodes on the same day viki waits until it’s complete for the day before they upload.

That means it’s happening
So excited!

Also in terms of thriller and friendship themes right up my alley, looking forward to it.
