I hope the screenwriter chooses to have the ML sue the publisher and Dr. Tae Eun's father at the end and force…
That would be really nice. I’m tired of seeing mcs not pressing charges and stuff against people to show they’re the bigger person. Some people need more than words to punish them.
Once again old doctor dude (I refuse to remember his name) is proving that his medical license needs to be revoked. He may also need some sort of psychological evaluation because he seems pretty sociopathy as usual. There have been few times I wanted to strangle an old man more.
Also kudos to Dr Tae Eun for telling his dad how it is. I had my doubts about him but he’s really standing up to his dad now and finally told him what all of us were thinking, that he hasn’t been treating Anchor Lee as a patient let alone a human.
Also only one week left, it makes me sad but I’m glad the pacing has remained good throughout, hopefully it won’t run out of steam towards the end or fall flat.
I'm currently rewatching the whole drama on Youtube and I still don't understand how Shang Xi Rui is cured from…
Form what I remember, the doctors said it was mainly psychological and there wasn’t any real damage to his ears. So basically he developed stage fright from the incident. The thing Cheng planned was suppose to work as shock therapy.
Honestly, I wouldn't even say lab rat. He's way to biased from the start. The doctor had a picture of what he…
Yes, that is very true. He tries to twist Anchor Lee's answers and emotions, it's super unprofessional. But very true cheating isn't something unheard of. Honestly if he was a better doctor Anchor Lee would probably actually not mind going to those checkups and may have made more progress in the last eight years, but you can tell he hates them and doesn't see a point in them lol. The fact that he became a professor is really disappointing, but I've met professors who it seemed like they shouldn't have their position so not anything new lol.
Hello, thank you for picking this up! Would you mind sharing a link, only if you want to share it ofc?
Ah really? Thank you for the info! Hopefully Fatima’s hard work won’t go to waste. Sometimes fansubs are better than Netflix so they could still be useful to someone. :) I’m surprised they chose to add it so late, I would assume they’d add the movie but not the series.
I know, it is so annoying like who does he think he is? So suspicious too and the book would definitely have some…
Yes, there have been doctors who wrote about patients before, it is common enough, but normally they get their permission first and it’s very important to keep things vague in regard to the patient’s personal/current life. The fact that even his editor knew is bad, no one should know at all. He could have changed Anchor Lee occupation, if he is truly just wanting to write about his condition, he could have said he was just an office employee. But to me he is so obsessed with I guess appearing important and “in the know”, hw wants people to see his involvement in “happening” a public figure and he is risking patient doctor confidentiality for his own ego. Like he might not be kidnapping people bad, but he is certainly a bad doctor lol. Also based on the previews for next week he continues to try to manipulate situations for his own ends. Honestly if it turns out he had some involvement in YS death or something I wouldn’t be surprised
That's very true and I hope against hope that it doesn't come to the worst case scenario where Anchor Lee is exposed…
Yes, probably something like that will happen, though we are only at episode 11 so they might have his identity exposed just for more conflict. I hope not though, so far the writing has been really good and fresh. I agree completely with your post that what Anchor Lee needs is new, happy memories to counter his bad ones. That seems like a basic thing a psychologist would say but somehow the two doctors he has are just like “he’s gonna be depressed and lonely forever, that’s just how it is.”.
Yo how did old doctor dude keep his license this long. He is trying to profit off his patient via his book, he is trying to influence his patient’s major life decisions by guilt tripping him (he could have mentioned Seo Yun in a way that didn’t make it sound like he thought Anchor Lee was abandoning her memory or he has to live with that burden forever And never move on, that isn’t healthy, especially for a man who remembers everything) and overall he is a horrible father to his son as well. He needs to be completely cut out of his life and not given any details. His son is also kind of bad but only a little bit, and I feel like most of his hmm moments come from a better place than his father’s.
He is too emotionally close to Anchor Lee and is treating him like his personal lab rat, if this was irl I feel like his colleagues would have done something by now if they saw this behavior.
Anchor Lee is trying to improve himself and it’s sad that the people who should be rooting for him the most/know him the best (condition-wise, I feel like they fail to understand his personality) seem the only people against him.
Not just the eyebrows, I think his hair looks like they glued on a cheap wig. Whoever was responsible for that…
Yeah his hair was weird, especially the back, seemed too long for the time and also kinda blocky? Like it was an add on. It got a little better through the episodes but still was really distracting lol. It really looks like someone was trying to sabotage him because everyone else looked fine haha. Poor guy.
So far interesting from a historical and mystery perspective (finished episode one), but man whoever did Lim Tian Bai’s eyebrows needs to be fired. Hideous lol, so distracting too. Everyone else seems to have been costume designed nicely but he seems out of place for some reason, at least in the first episode.
Also kudos to Dr Tae Eun for telling his dad how it is. I had my doubts about him but he’s really standing up to his dad now and finally told him what all of us were thinking, that he hasn’t been treating Anchor Lee as a patient let alone a human.
