Hanbada is an alright law firm, being so big they have lots of public cases as well, as was correctly said in…
I totally agree about being neutral, j still wasn’t able to finish the latest ep ( ): ), I figured it would cost a lot but wasn’t sure. And I also want YWY to spread her wings! I feel she is bit restricted in Hanbada, but now with more meat on her resume and successful cases I feel she could do well elsewhere (also plot armor lol)
On Extraordinary Attorney Woo Aug 5, 2022
I wasn’t able to complete ep 12 fully but I really agree with everyone else that WYW should leave Hanbada. The CEO is shady as hell and she often has to do cases that have some aspect contradict her own moral compass. For explain the trash husband in ep 11 (glad he got ran over lol).

I feel like she should maybe start her own practice? Not sure how that works in Korea but so far the two big companies we saw both have ulterior motives when it comes to WYW. Hanbada is the lesser of two evils (it seems so far) but is still perhaps not the best place for WYW to flourish. Especially with trash Min woo still there (ngl truck-San is looking really alluring for him rn).

Ugh I’m disappointed but not surprised that they will put Min Woo together with Su Yeon😑spring sunshine doesn’t…
I was rooting for So Yeon and chef bro! Min woo doesn’t deserve sunshine So Yeon. ):

Sorry it the late reply! Wi-Fi is bad where I am rn so haven’t been online and I accidentally canceled my comment to you ): But definitely! Basically I said it would be a bit better if KMW was a more passive hater, but he actively belittles/undermines WYW and he goes out of his way to try to sabotage her career. It is really dangerous for WYW especially because, despite what min woo might think, her position is precarious. Her mom seemed initially overwhelmed after finding out WyW was her daughter but now is back on her grind, everyone else be damned.

That is true! And a great point. I noticed that with the case of the two brothers and again also with Jun-ho’s friends. It really sucks but I hope WYW is able to realize that people outside of her like group (her dad, friend, so-yeon, Jun-Ho and even her friend’s boss) opinion is irrelevant.

Oh absolutely! I guess it makes sense but it is sad for WYW as she seems to have wanted to experience having a maternal as a child.also sorry for the super late reply! I am traveling and Wi-Fi is atrocious.

Yes! Shikaku Tantei Higurashi Tabito
Ooh, that looks interesting but I was actually thinking of another manga! I will add that to my watchlist though, thank you. :) I ended up remembering part of the title and I found the manga I was referring to. It’s called Op: Yoake Itaru no Iro no Nai Hibi if you are interested!

Ok based on episode 10, I don’t like WYW mom that much now. It seems she is either trying to undermine WYW’s father by making it seem like he hasn’t been doing the best for WyW and thus get them both out of the way or she wants to get them out of the way but she also seriously believes that WYW isn’t capable of taking care of herself. Oh well. People contain multitudes.

Min Woo is getting worse and worse by episode. Honestly if he gets no redemption I am fine with it. Like if he directed all this energy he has to scope out WYW’s alleged connections and chat with gossip journalist to maybe idk, making his own connections and studying some more I feel he would be a much happier man. I wonder what is reaction will be to Jun-Ho and Woo Young Woo.

Also I though the blind date would have ended up better but it was funny regardless lol

i just dont understand where all the theories of minwoo or junho (or even att jung) being youngwoo's brother come…
I don’t get them either. For one like you said everyone is too old and also Jun Ho would just be weird in the context of his relationship with WYW. I doubt the writer would go that route even if he was young enough. This isn’t a Jdrama from the 90s-2000s lol.

I probably missed a lot in ep 8 because I am not at home atm so somewhat distracted while watching, but I like how they did the reunion between mother and daughter this ep. I’m glad they did drag it out until episode 14 or something. Her mim’s reaction is also interesting. I figured after hearing what YWY dad said she did have some feelings for her, or at least residual feelings for WYW’s dad because as a wealthy woman I am sure her family had the connections to get rid of the pregnancy if she really wanted to. I wonder what her father though about her carrying the pregnancy to term. I also wonder who WYW’s half brother is and also if her mom is still married to his father. That would be an interesting dynamic to explore.

I feel like they might make her half-brother a typical work shy, privilege wielding, chaebol brat but I hope not. I would love for him to be a decent person and even me interested in having a relationship with WYW. Idk I guess lately I want my dramas to not be too stressful lol. Also the hateful, wealthier half-sibling trope I feel is a bit overdone.

It's already escalating, and just because asshole people exist in the world doesn't mean that what they're doing…
I never said it was right. In fact I think it’s horrible. Just because something is realistic doesn’t mean it’s good or even ok. Min woo is absolutely wrong for what he did (especially at the end of ep 7) and how he acts towards WYW and behind her back. What I was just saying is people like this exist in abundant and I understand why the drama writer chose to highlight it. There is however plenty of good people in the world (as seen with Soo Yeon and Jun Ho for example). Sorry if that wasn’t clear!

I just hope he has some sort of redemption arc because it would be character development (showing people can learn how their jealousy and prejudice is wrong, etc) and also because initially I liked his character and also because her friend likes him. If he doesn’t have a redemption arc that is also realistic. Some people never change unfortunately despite glaring evidence they should and what they think and how they behave is wrong.
On Extraordinary Attorney Woo Jul 21, 2022
Min Woo sucks in this episode but unfortunately he is a very realistic character. I have met numerous people like him and even have found myself at times (in my dumber days (at least I hope)) thinking similar thoughts to him and having to rebuke myself internally. It’s a lot easier to see others as the problem than accept the faults or difference in skills within yourself. Hopefully he gets a redemption arch because in the beginning he was the pompous but somewhat likable co-worker . Now it seems he almost has an obsession with WYW because he knows keep down her foundation and knowledge is stronger than his. I just hope his jealous doesn’t escalate too far.

Title Prism
So the synopsis is kinda vague and I have been burned before, I just want to know basically one thing before I commit to anything. Does he cheat on her (or vice versa)? I'm not sure if this is a "romance" romance (or more of a life of slice drama exploring different situations but if someone could tell me I would be very grateful!

In a simple word, this is healing. I really enjoyed this movie and even got choked up at times. It encapsulates the experience and successfully portrays the emotions and ideas it sets out to. The direction, acting, and plot are lovely. I love the little visual touches. It's definitely not perfect, but it's pretty good.

His family gradually disappearing from his family photo was hilarious in a sad way. The way mom died though. Wow. Truly leading by example.

As a depressed person I like the more comedic approach to depression and suicidal ideation. I don’t think it’s disrespectful or anything and it’s always balanced with some more serious moments. Like when he started to disappear from his family photo, despite it being comedic earlier it becomes poignant when he was about to commit suicide. Overall good first episode. I am interested in finishing the rest.

The scene with the whale teared me up too. I’m not sure why but it just made me so happy Young Woo got to experience that and that Jun Ho realized her interest enough to understand that would be the better present for her than what he got her before.

Also, money and greed tears apart families everyday. My own great grandfather didn’t get his inheritance after his parents died because of his uncle. He ended up going to the big city and I’m sure suffered a lot as a late teen. To be honest I’m not sure if he ever really went back. I do believe the brothers genuinely felt sorry after the moment but the damage is done. Their relationship with their younger brother will never be the same and all because they sought temporary relief from their problems. It seems like they put perceived prestige over legitimate relationships. Dong-Sam was the bigger man, personally I don’t know if I would have split it equally after what they did to him, but I can understand why he did. Overall excellent episode as always.

Also I am not mad at the romance, normally I prefer without it but Jun Ho is a nice guy and respects and believes in her expertise. And Young Woo is not at all interested in him romantically at the moment I feel lol. Seems well balanced.

honestly this episode was shocking in its revelation about hans asperger that he technically was a doctor who…
Something also important to remember about the nazi regime is that they first begin their campaign to “purify” German society on mentally and physically disabled children and institutionalized adults, who were not seen as mentally sound enough to have a say in their own treatments, by euthanasia (look up aktion t4). Many family members allowed this to happen. Often they adopted an attitude of basically not explicitly wanting to know their family were being euthanized but allowing the doctors to operate as they saw fit (so basically they knew but were not told explicitly). A lot probably did not known though, as their family member were institutionalized and they got news they “passed” due to some complication. Look up Alfred Hoche and Karl Binding. Basically Hoche, a psychiatrist was a front runner and extensive author on the topic of “incurable feeblemindedness” and argued that they should be euthanized they were burdening more productive citizens and national resources. Horrible stuff. Like pink springs said a lot of former medical Nazi collaborators lived relatively uneventful lives completely free from accountability after the war and trials ended.
