where is this available to watch? besides kissdrama-
In addition to all the places listed by others, you can also watch the recent episodes for free on ondemandkorea with English subtitles I’m pretty sure (depending on your location), provided you do it within the two days when new episodes air (W-TR).
Ondemandkorea to my understanding is a legal service, but they normally don’t subtitle stuff, but I checked last week to watch on mobile and I’m pretty sure I saw subs!
At the end, did Gu Sun Xi kill himself too, is that why she saw him at the river? Or did he just met her after dying naturally but looked like his young self?
Honestly, though this drama was kinda tedious, it had some interesting twists (only really like 2 lol). And, despite MHS being a murderer he was arguably the most likable of his family (aside from the kid and msh herself), and also maybe the smartest. At times it felt like he knew all the secrets and was just about watching a show. Kinda started watching it towards the end only to see what he would do. Very well acted character. As for the entirety of the show itself, 7.5/10. Dislike the last like hour of it though.
In this sense it could also mean that he was working with someone else from the start and that he's now warning…
Yeah that’s definitely a possibility! It wouldn’t be new to kdramas or life. I do think whether or not they’re working together now or in the past he’s in contact (direct or indirect) with the current stalker in some capacity, probably even knows who they are or has a strong idea.
I love that this drama is pretty unpredictable in that front (at least to me lol) but they could throw a curveball and actually make one of the most likely suspect the actual stalker.
98% sure that old stalker dude is not current stalker dude, for obvs logistical issues with that whole theory (though him getting to a phone at night in an institution with locked doors is some kdrama logic) and also that warning on the end of 16/8 sounded more like a legit warning rather than a threat to me. Still think he’s scum regardless but not the current variety of trash lol.
someone analyze the hands pls. the stalker has very tiny hands
Could it be perhaps be a women? Edit: Actually, watched the last scene more carefully, probably a man based on height and build, but would be interesting for it to be a women.
I'm pretty sure he can't read very well. He may only be able to recognize some of the very basic characters. In…
Yeah that’s what i’m leaning towards now, the user below said he could read opera but I think he probably doesn’t read much aside from that, and i’m sure he has a lot memorized. If it is a trait of his it would be historically accurate, though maybe not so much for him seeing as he’s a entertainer which I think generally were more literate than the average person .
I feel that if he can read operas, then he can read their names. I think he's just the type of person who loses…
True! But i also feel like maybe he doesn’t read much aside from opera, like he forgot characters when trying to write for those kids. Maybe it’s bit of both? Was simplified Chinese a thing back then, I don’t know lol. Maybe we’ll learn more later
So I have a question, based on when he was shredding the documents can Xi Rui not read? He kept on asking the girl if he got the right one. Or can he just not read well?
I never found a good drama from this network. Hoping this one will be fine
Hopefully. Some networks are plagued with bad dramas. I watched, or semi watched the first episode of this and it seems...dubious. Very classic kdrama and kinda not my thing lol. Who knows, hopefully it will be decent, always room for improvement form the first episode.
The 'operator' ie parent company for Channel A is the same as for jTBC (Dong-A Ilbo). The most recent 2 I saw…
Thank you for the detailed info! So they aren’t a small network. Interesting that most of their dramas have been duds or less than ideal. Personally I’ve only watched the coffee one and 12 nights and I dropped both pretty quickly. 12 nights was ok, just incredible boring lol. After watching the first episode of this one though I can definitely see the improvement you’ve talked about, still a bit off though to me, granted I watched it without subtitles with limited Korean knowledge lol. It seems though from the latest two dramas they have a problem with picking directors and screenwriters, maybe it was a matter of budget in the past, but those two were from poorly rated screenwriters and directors. This screenwriter and director both seem to have well liked work, 8+ vs the previous twos 5-7 stars.
I’ve never heard of this network before, “Channel A”. Normally it’s ocn, tvn, sbs, jBtc, etc. Interesting. Granted I don’t know much about Korean networks lol. Hopefully it’s well-known enough in Korea so the production quality will be fine.
If I'm not mistaken the manga was released in 2018... And it's still ongoing...
Ah, well that’s either a testament to my warped sense of time, or I read a manga with a very similar plot. Just checked and it hasn’t been translated according to the fan database, so may be the latter lol
This drama is cringey, but in the best possible way lol. Really incapsulates the feeling of reading a fluffy manga. I have a vague recollection of reading the manga it’s based on years ago and I think it’s a faithful adaptation. Something I like as well is it gives the ml’s perspective so we get why he’s doing all this and he doesn’t seem like a shallow/underdeveloped character made just for the sake of the “perfect” boyfriend fantasy. So in conclusion very enjoyable so far lol
