Some of the comments here remind me of ‘Are you the One’ when it was airing. People hated ML when he took advantage of FL’s amnesia. Then they turned around and hated FL when she didn’t forgive ML right away! 😂😂😂

I’ve seen her in good and bad dramas. This one is good in that the drama could hold its own without famous actors in the lead roles. Her acting in this is solid, but we know she is not great at kisses - this drama hasn’t had or needed them so far 😁

I am pretty sure at some point, JQ will offer LX the option to divorce. There will be a reason of course, but it will be why this show passes censorship.

The fact that JQ has already divorced once is a clue that he is not a man who would remain in a marriage at all costs.

I’m watching on Viki, so I’m 2 episodes behind. Other commenters have said that she has no romantic feelings for Scholar Han and that it was just an expedient marriage arranged by her elders. I still think ML would divorce FL if she truly loved the other guy, as this story would not pass censorship otherwise.

People are quite rightly angered by JQ using an imperial decree to force marriage with LX.
Some things to consider:
Imperial favour is very rare for a person in their lifetime. Without a decree, there is no way in that day and age JQ would be allowed to legally marry LX.
LX has been under threat from various factions already. He probably thinks he’s protecting her.
If she remains pissed, he seems the sort who would allow her to divorce.
I can’t see Chinese censorship allowing ‘forced’ relationships to pass (for main Characters).

Welll written plot and character development (so far!) the script and dialogue is better than I have seen in a while.
Good solid acting from cast.

It could be suicide to say anything about the Shen family. Implying that the (last) emperor made a mistake in executing the Shen family is treason. She doesn’t trust him enough yet. She is always cautious about sharing information with good reason.

Very annoyed with this drama!
Just wanted to watch a couple of episodes to get a feel, but now I’m addicted!
What am I going to do when I catch up with all the episodes?
I’ll have to clock watch as each new episode is released ☹️

To be honest, as a parent I’ve heard quite a few 4 year olds sounding 40! They can look so serious too!😂😂😂
