Peter Ho gets a lot of criticism for being older in other dramas. You can see by the way they play it that his role is not to be taken seriously!

I just watched episode 8 and it was hilarious! I think because it was played so seriously, some viewers missed the point!

Fair enough, but Minglan didn’t fully confess to her husband until right up to the end!

I hear a lot of people saying that FL still doesn’t trust ML and that it is delaying their romance.
In The Story of Miinglan, FL took a long time to accept her feelings for ML , even though they worked so closely together.
Both FL’s had a history of being betrayed by others. It takes a lot of courage and time to accept others fully when you have had no one to rely on but yourself.

I love Ji Jin supporting Shen Jun Shan in his quest for Xe Langchen. Then trying to provide solace to Gu Yan Zhen!

Was rewatching TTEOTM and forgot how good Deng Wei was. His portrayal of the evil version of his character in the nightmare blossoms sequence was electric. In one small shot he looked truly evil!

Finally finished part 1. Loved it!
Great acting all round, but Miles Wei had an absolute ball as Liu Chang turning from Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader!
