If you think that Liu Chang is worse than the princess, then you have missed the point of his whole character.…
You make some great points, however I think Liu Chang is not quite as good as you think . I feel that the reason that he didn’t sleep with MuDan in the first place was not only his puppy love for the princess, but his feeling that MuDan was too far beneath him. When he changed his mind, he full out attempted to r*pe her. I too feel though that he had the potential to be a great man. His parents completely ruined him, that is the tragedy of his character.
I love how witty and clever this show is. The characters are well written and the dialogue is superb. I feel some people prefer a less complex storyline and plot, which is fine, but I wish they would not rate this poorly due to their more simplistic expectations. I knew they would have to do something with the Liu Chang character as it has Miles Wei as the actor and I can’t see him being 2ML without it being a role to relish! I would love to see him go full supervillain mode!
Im adding this in my watchlist. I always love Yang Zi so i wanna ask if you like the series/plot so far? Currently…
This series has some of the most well written characters and intelligent/funny dialogue that I have seen in a long time. I watch way too many C dramas and K dramas, so I’ve seen a LOT!
I am really enjoying this series! The storyline is thrilling, the dialogue and characters are so well thought out. But I gotta say, JCY really needs to run out of toilet paper for at least a week for the scare he put Mudan through on episode 14!
Where I can watch this series with good english subtitles?
Can watch without a subscription on Viki, but you get ads. However, last year when I used Viki without subscription on a laptop, there were only 2 ads at the beginning of the episode.(As opposed to multiple ads on a tablet)
I love the fact that (F)aek Sa Eon’s attire is slowly devolving. I love a man who can embrace his inner dork! Hopefully once the stress is over we can have more scenes of his real dress sense. (Maybe even a scene with headband with ears attached- eating fried chicken because we haven’t done that yet!)
So, We’ve had the white truck of doom in the car crash as kids, the ‘accidental’ fall, slip and kiss, the piggyback down the mountain. Does the artistic display of umbrellas count as ‘the umbrella scene’ ? What other classic tropes am I missing? (Other than the regular Korean home style foods - they only mentioned fried chicken, so I don’t think that counts!)

It makes more sense than most of these dramas!
