Sounds similar to the plotline of Kaso Girei (airing j-drama...I haven't started watching it as I was waiting for it to finish). Only perhaps more serious. Either way *adds to watch list* - sounds interesting.

What an insane and beautifully written train wreck of a series (and I mean that in the best possible way), I just caught up with it and I was surprised by just how crazy the last episodes were lol (and I'm not siding with anyone either I just really wanna see how this ends).
For me, it would be both of Joy of Life season 2 and Nirvana in Fire season 3. Not saying anything against the list but nothing for me here personally. Other dramas I'm anticipating are stuck in limbo and might never get aired (Fated General, A Love Never Lost, etc).
I remember reading the manhwa to this a while back and gaining a minor trauma for my troubles lol...it was an extremely interesting read, to say the least. I have been wanting more horror or thriller BL dramas (or GL ones for that matter) so I'm very curious how this will turn out.
(Personally hoping it won't be softened or romanticised).
The title change is very, very nice...Celebrated Cases of Judge Dee? IDK it just has a very nice ring to it IMO. Something a bit different. Really hope the drama drops soon...having it start airing this week would be so beyond awesome 🤣Zhou Yi Wei and Zhang Ruo Yun together in the same drama (and a historical mystery series at that) is just too good to think about.
