Oh my, that trailer... <3 Wang Yang always looks so great in Republican clothes. *fingers crossed the rumours for the 22nd are true* I love political dramas in this time period.
But did they have to be uni students ?! Considering the topic, I thought we were dealing with grown ass men...
I suppose all the host work is at least helping pay their way through college... I'll probably give the first episode a shot, mainly as "stunning acrobatic shows" piqued my interest 😂. Guess we shall see how the drama is tomorrow.
This sounds really, really good... Provided it gets English subs at some point (not expecting, just hoping ofc) I'll absolutely be checking it out <3 I love this period of time, so much going on and oh so very interesting.
I thought there might be potential for a love triangle if the FL is marrying one guy and secretly in love with the other, but it's not paying off for me. But having said that I really don't enjoy or want a love triangle or romance subplot in a drama like this. These storylines always seem to take up so much screen time and tbh I'm here for the power plays and scheming. Trillion Game got it right IMO. The FL liked one of the male leads (as well as challenging him and was his equal), she was essential to the plot and very likable as a character.
I don't mind the FL or the actress playing her too much. That may well be due to my watching a few too many c-dramas over the years I've desensitised myself to irritating FLs...I don't know. If the two guys fight and fall out over her I might like her a lot less however lol. The Worst of Evil was somewhat ruined for me due to unnecessary relationship drama I didn't care about.
Overall, however, it's an enjoyable enough drama for me.
I tend to stick her scenes in 1.5x speed and lower the volume for the sake of my ears (and my sanity...whatever…
🤣Tweety Bird trying to speak Mandarin after a few too many expressos. It's why turning down the volume is also essential. Good lord though, Sairong will have such an easy job invading when/ if this persom comes to power...I just hope she finds the time to improve her qin playing to welcome the enemy at the gates.
people telling me that it's not a bl drama, did we watch the same movie??? the chemistry was chemistrying and…
This was such a beautifully shot movie and I enjoyed it a lot. I can see myself re-watching both the opera and dancing scenes as they were so, so gorgeous to look at...those costumes...<3 just too lovely
I guess I just assumed it would have at least a BL feel lol, the sequel is tagged as both romance and comedy after all and these boys have some amazing chemistry together. Very much looking forward to Shine :).
Wow these Ning'er scenes are dreadful. Is this the kind of nonsense we have to suffer through so that a bromance…
I tend to stick her scenes in 1.5x speed and lower the volume for the sake of my ears (and my sanity...whatever is left of it). I'd skip them entirely but I'd not want to miss out on anything interesting. Aside from her, the drama's pretty great - and yes I guess we really need this sort of thing to pass censors. I'm just happy to get any sort of political plotline from China these days.
C-dramaland fun chaos continues 😍 It was a very, very nice surprise to see this pop up randomly on IQIYI (I never did get around to checking out the donghua/ novel for this...think I'll make that a priority now lol).
This is gonna end up being one of my favourite dramas I think...halfway through and I just can't stop watching 😍 I'm so very very thankful to those who ripped and subbed this, it's amazing.
Te Oh and In Ha are friends, Hye won joins their friend group and is kinda closed to Te Oh. They’re all kinda…
NGL that sounds pretty interesting...I'm all for a power/money-hungry FL who is out for herself. Especially if at some point she figures out she has genuine feelings for TO but is already involved with IH...
I mean, it's a political drama and love can get extremely political 🤣if done right this could be great
Wait what??? How the living heck did I almost overlook this one🤣 *adds to watchlist* I completely love Priest's novels and had almost given up hope on seeing any more of her work getting drama adaptions. Looks like I've found my first ever Taiwanese BL to watch.
If you’re new here, this is a MALE CENTERED PLOT, no love triangle nor female lead. So if you were expecting…
You're completely right. There's nothing wrong with wanting a male-centric plot or bromance story (especially as we don't get many of them from China lately).Plenty of love stories elsewhere.
I havent watched this drama can anyone explain to me what happend? And is this good? What is it about exactly…
Khun and Tao are a couple and are raising Khun's nephew together (his brother's son who passed away). Khun has PTSD from a past trauma (which he often neglects his medication for), often has hallucinations where he sees a person dressed in black trying to kidnap his nephew, and also can see ghosts/ evil spirits. The story begins when a handsome man who writes very steamy gay romance novels moves in next door. Things get somewhat insane from there (expect a lot of crazy relationship drama with a supernatural/ horror twist).
It's a very unique and interesting series, it might not be for everyone but I've really been enjoying it. I'd just recommend waiting on when the final episode drops before starting it.
Looking forward to this as well :).

(the man is so beyond gorgeous...)

But again, it's really nice to see a couple of male-centric/ bromancey dramas out of China in the past couple of months.

(nah FR, three episodes in and it's beyond great).
