I think the entire budget for this drama was blown on JUST YM’s costuming. She’s gone through a t least 6 sets of clothes and we only on ep 6 rn! Miles’s red/black/gold getup is fantastic too
I came for SSK but made it through for JJS. The acting was unbalanced as others have said. The king acted his heart out and you could feel his internal struggles and also his love for his love. The baduk player didn’t emote. I feel like the FL looked like the same wide-fluttery, moist eyes the whole time while ML had the range.
FL was out acted by the king, young Crown Prince, the best friend of the “General of War”/cousin of Crown Prince, the substitute Princess married to Beijing and the personal guard of the king (Joo).
Don’t come for the romance or the kisses cuz there was only half of a semi good one. Barely. A lot left to the imagination. I gave this an 8 ONLY for JJS.
Love all the HK actors in this especially 1994 actor. They did fairly well condensing the series but always and always and always the best adaptation was from 1994 ❤️ with Julian and Athena
I came for CXX and he didn’t disappoint. The entire supporting cast that were the office workers were TOP NOTCH. Even better than most of ZRN’s acting / character.
