Yes, like Ji Shuran I meant. She said she was forced to do what her father told her, but she obviously enjoyed having power over others, kill others, didn't mind hurting a child etc.

Did he tell her that they were dead? I don't remember that.

I think him talking to her was his pathetic way to
excuse his actions. Yes, he could have poisened her to die with less pain.

I don't think so. I think he is being acknowledged for playing SYR's differerent sides so well. And with different styling and mannerism I wouldn't associate him with this role I think.

But maybe he should not play a villain role next :).

That would make more sense. Would pressure the princess, too, to do something stupid, when she wants to keep SYR.

He is definitely the most complex character here. Because he did bad things, but did not enjoy them and feels guilty all the time.
Then he has the mother and sister that pressure him all the time and are like spies for the princess.
I would have married off the sister and put the mother with her or somewhere else away from him.

And...he can't even hide a letter from his sister? You can turn the paper upside down or out of reach, not so obvious for her to be curious and read it.

I want him to grow a pair and kill the princess in the end or sacrifice himself for fl. But not get any forgiveness from her.

I think if he wants to test the Duke's loyality or is desperate that he needs that. I'm pretty sure he knows that Duke Su won't want that and I don't think that he would use him as a mere pawn.

I started it and forgot about it for some reason. I'm gonna watch it again, because I also like Xu Kai.
Fortunately there are interesting dramas starting all the time.

And he had the affair with the princess who knows how long before.
He seems miserable, but I think also enjoys the power he has over the princess, who seems to be obsessed with him.
He made it seem like he was a victim, but he had a choice not to do bad things.

And she made clear that him helping her didn't undo what he did.

But as a drama rule, if you talk about a character's future plans after everything is over, that means they'll probably die soon.

I agree. The impact of her looking like herself, made it so effective that the sight of her would have an impact on SYR or his sister and mother.

Also, that she got to know the real JL and wants to take revenge for her, too, makes it less her own revenge path, but more the wish to get justice for JL.

Normally a gesture like that is supposed to be mean, like the one is superior than the other, but they manage to make it seem like a caress, looking at eachother and understanding.

I think so, too. It was a stretch that she could crawl out of the grave in the first place, after getting hit on the head like that. If she were pregnant and miscarried like that, I don't think she could have done it.

Seriously, when I rewatch the show I'm gonna count how many beatings he got.

Besides the main couple scenes, I love seeing those 3 together.

Really? I thought it was just to show that she is not a big drinker and because they put the drug in her drink they made her drink it. And you can tell that they didn't have a good relationship.

They looked like in a painting. The color coordinating of her clothes to his green robe is so beautiful. I like that they have those moments alone together. They talk normally, but there is doubly meaning in all of it.

Can't wait when she blows that whistle and WJ comes jumping or flying to save her :).

I remember her from Maiden Holmes flashback scenes. Which is still one of my fav shows. And it was ZLH's first ever drama. I look forward to her one day playing a lead role.

Oh, yes. I saw that, too. And she sent Duke Su to the grave in the mountains. Poor JL's grave will be opened up again I guess. Then it is probably her word against theirs.
I hope it's gonna be something more clever than that.
