For low douban score, it’s because WoF did not pay for the advertising fee

Artist agencies promoting rising stars must choose which platforms to work with and pay accordingly, applied to drama as well. • Douban: Paying ensures drama ratings are shielded from mass malicious downvotes. SLY did not sign with Douban. Also if any malicious post attacking one artist/drama got a lot of attention, they will take it down. • Bilibili, Douyin, XHS etc: Without protection fees, any video tagged with the drama or lead actor is suppressed and not promoted. A Douyin executive confirmed SLY didn’t pay, and noted fees have surged since 2023. • Virality odds: Without protection, content has 5% change to go viral, tag must avoid drama and lead actor name (per douyin executive) • SLY chose Weibo—evident from the lack of negative trending topics compared to over 1000+ daily during Till the End of the Moon. They also chose Mango VS for promotion.
Different producer & artist agency chose different platform to sign “protection fees” This is common knowledge in C Industry.
