Anyways, even though it disapppinted me as a novel adaptation, it was still a fun watch as a standalone.

And since its unlikely that fl and ml will work together again, hoping instead to see her with 1st love, 2ml and 3ml in future projects cause I enjoyed her chemistry with them too.

Kdramas where the FL is morally grey and acts as a villainess are always great. Lovey-dovey FLs are also nice but it just doesn't give me the adrenaline like with this one.

Agree. I do think that Chen Feiyu / guy in smiling for one thing would be perfect .

I watched this because it's FL's first action series and i've been anticipating this since last year. She really did portray the character very well and u can see that she's a seasoned actress already. If it's Zhao Lusi or Yang Yang, i believe it'll be a great drama . WRTW showed their chemistry together. I love the ML but hopefully he'll work on more with his expressions. Like Xu Kai, eventhough he doesn't have lines, the expressions in his eyes are enough and gives the message.

I watched a lot of historical dramas and I really enjoyed this. I skipped some scenes esp during the power struggles and palace dramas. I wished they cut those down. But, i really like that they actually continously portrayed till the end that the FL is powerful and skilled and not be a damsel in distress (unlike, other dramas. The strong FL suddenly needs the ML all the time during war) . The romance was slow but I was actually here for the action part.

Overall, another masterpiece of Zhao Lusi and Yang Yang . Some watchers will not like this and find it boring but personally I enjoyed it and i'm glad I watched it.

The way both So Min & Jae Suk said some certain food are not up to their taste, only later to find themselves inhales everything in is 🤣

Finally finished this. I would say the conclusion was very fitting for the story and made sense. There are many things that I liked about this drama and there are some that I disliked. But overall it was a pretty good drama. The acting was awesome, fight scenes were really cool and the chemistry between the leads were so pleasing to watch. This couple is one of the best that I have seen in cdramas, no misunderstanding, full in trust, not betrayal,no "I did that to protect you"stuff, both are strong and smart, no breakups, just two loving people caring and supporting eachother. This a very happy ending for me as FQW is alive, first prince is alive and well, HC got what he deserved and the leads got what they wanted. Even though this drama don't have that many kisses or intimate scenes but it do have a lot of smiling. I really fell in love with ZLS, her smile is so beautiful, just plain and simple. As a guy I would say her smile is one of the beautiful in any drama that I have watched. I do hope to watch both leads in any other high budget drama. This is my 2nd YY's drama in last two years and I could say that he is a good actor and have a really good chemistry with his fellow actors, Dilreba in YAMY and now ZLS here.
Again hope to see more of ZLS's smile.

Yes..agree with you ZLS smile is very healing ..her sweetness and cute ness is unbeilable..I think it comes from pure soul. My only wish is hope that she keeps that pureness all the time and ignore the outside world.
