How is what you just said any different from Jing being engage? Jing isnt in love with his fiancee and his mother and grandmother are the ones who planned this not Jing. He has tried more than once to anull the marriage but his grandmother wont let that happen. So she just found out who was the mastermind behind killing Jing, and that was CX. When she confronted him and asked him about it he didn't deny it. She tried killing him with her arrows and a couple almost did. Her grandfather separated them, but after a few days she invited CX to the phoenix tree where he built the swing. He came and she gave him the phoenix flower to eat and he ate them. His movements were slow while XY was about to pass out from the poison in the flowers. He asked her, "XY, tell me! If we could do it all over again and I held you close after we reunited on Five God's Mt, with no chance of Jing to get close to you, would you have picked me?" XY: "when I was locked up in the cage by the 9 tailed fox, all I could think of was you... all I missed was you.. when you didn't recognize me, I still used my life to save you.. back then.. there was no Jing yet..." Then the author narrates this: They buried and said farewell to their loved ones, they endured the pain together... XY said her heart had turned cold into stone, but he remained the most precious treasure that XY kept deep in her heart, in the softest most secure place. When Jing said he would give first and trust first to try to win XY's heart, XY had already done the same for CX.
