So ruling Xuyuan wasnt enough for CX, his ambition was to rule the world and he planned to attack Haoling. However, before he could attack Haoling he had to server XY and the grand emperor and AN's relationships. So he start spreading rumors about XY and who her real father is and that is Chi Chen. People start talking and called her Chi Chen's bastard daughter. Jing told her about the rumors and tried to comfort her, but she went home depressed after their date and thought her nightmare has caught up to her. She was going to talk to CX about it but realized if Jing knew then CX knew, so she didnt ask CX about it. She thought theyll use their power as clan leader and emperor to stop the rumors. However in less than a month the rumor of her being Chi Chen's bastard daughter exploded as the rumor spread, in Xuyuan more and more people believed it. Some thought that before XY's mom killed Chi Chen, he had already raped her.
The rumor reach Hoaling, the grand emperor convinced the people there that XY was his and they chose to believe him but privately they were angry at her for bringing shame to Haoling and wished she was never found.

A few days later they went to view lanterns and after they went to a restaurant to eat grill meat and a general and a couple of his soldiers came in. They sat down and form a protective barrier around them so no one can listen, XY asked Jing to use his magic to listen to their conversation and he did and in their conversation she confirmed that she was Chi Chen's daughter. She cried and ran off and at that moment Jing knew it was CX who spread the rumors. He asked CX why he would hurt her like that and he answered "I did it because I want to protect her.." from that day she told people to stop calling her princess. She was too happy and carefree so he created a reason so she'll need him to protect her! What a jerk!
Then a few months later the grand emperor told the world that XY would be taken off the family ledger. He did this because he knew who spread the rumors and why he did it. He was helping CX so that XY doesn't have to pick sides. So sad huh? XY was really sad she thought he believed the rumors and now she couldn't call him dad anymore. She had to ask Jimg to destroy the letters her dad sent her because she couldn't do it. CX also did this because he thought the grand emperor was also the reason his parents and aunt died. Yea i liked XL too but the fan war is out of control. How XL's fans criticize Jing and hate him for no reason made it hard to like XL right now. However there are lots of reasons to not like CX... it was so sad how he throw apart XY and the grand emperor and Ah Nian... i cried because of how sad XY was... she loved her father so much...

Yup... everything looked like it happened in a year but nope alot of time has passed... some people like it because its not dragging but the transitions are too quick, they need to make some space so we can understand what just happened. Many years has passed since the death maze, so he probably gained back all his powers by then. Let me try to give you an idea o how long... hm... so after she breaks up with Jing she became very depressed and always staring off in a daze. Her grandfather wanted to find her something to do so he showed her some of the fire emperor's belongings and when she saw them it inspired her to be a doctor. When she became a doctor he inspired her to write some manuals for other doctors, upgrade the manual she learned from the fire emperor when she was a kid. It took her and other doctors 42 years to reseach and write 2 books. This didnt include the time she was learning to become a doctor. There are other events that happened in between that i cant remember but you get the idea.

Doesnt that sound like a player to you? When he put his arms around his 2 beautiful maids and made out with them, he was trying to show his uncles that hes a player that does drugs. But from the description he wasn't outside in public and at that time he stopped using and was clear from the drugs. Maybe my imagination is making it look more than it really is?
