Random but if anyone else is watching it on wetv with subs (not sure how the subs are elsewhere), do you also…
Yes, it throws me off as well because it's not consistent (hers is the only one translated, IIRC) plus I have a peeve that names and locations shouln't be translated.
I’m up to episode 36. Does anyone know when the next episodes are going to be released?
Monday to Wednesday (in the coming week), WeTV will release episodes 37-42 for VIP subscribers (2 subbed eps per day). On demand/fast track buyers will get episodes 43-45 (raw) on Monday.
Yes, the opening song is absolutely beautiful; it's my favorite of all of them. I'm so happy I found it on Deezer; I have it on repeat all throughout the day. Thanks so much for compiling the lyrics here :-)
Are you referring to Viki subs? 31 and 32 are subbed on WeTV. I noticed the Viki subs come a day after WeTV.
If you want the latest subbed episodes (up to ep 34 today on WeTV and ep 32 on Viki), you need a subscription. On demand/fast track episodes are to 42 right now but, for the most part, these are not available to international customers. If you don't want to pay, you'll have to find an illegal site to watch it on.
I highly doubt it; they only had about 5 fleeting 'interactions' before their marriage:1st - they first set eyes…
If you go back to that scene, you'll notice that just before he attempts to kiss her, he'd remembered his late wife's words to him, to give Shiyi a grand wedding etc. Basically, make her a true wife. So, I think him trying to consummate that night was simply him doing his duty as he promised. IDK, that's what I thought anyway.
When I think back on the times they met before that, there's just not enough substance in their interactions to think he already had feelings for her by their wedding night.
Does ling yi have some feelings for shiyi before they got married?
I highly doubt it; they only had about 5 fleeting 'interactions' before their marriage:
1st - they first set eyes on each other when she was held hostage by the pirate; then he saved her from drowning but, technically, this was not an interaction because she was unconscious, and he only brought her up to the surface of the water and Lin Shi Xian took over from that point.
2nd - when she was with her sister during the staged drama with Concubine Qiao; they recognized each other then. He ordered her out of the room, but she only did so when her sister repeated the order.
3rd - when she went down to the wharf to look for a boat and he stopped the shopkeeper from harassing her; he tried to send her back home then, but she slyly brought up the drama with Concubine Qiao and he let her go. (Even though that whole mess was not his fault, I really like this scene because of the way she shut him up right away; it's just funny to me :D)
4th - when her mother was killed, and he convinced her to let go of the body for investigation.
5th - when Zhaoying was telling him about the rumors circulating about why her mother was at the temple and she confronted them. I think this time she probably made the strongest impression on him.
Apart from these, I don't remember any other time they set eyes on each other before they got married. I think he started having feelings for her during the time she took care of his son/her nephew. I'm curious what others think.
Some YouTube videos claim to have subs but it's just senseless gibberish so don't bother wasting your time. Looks like we'll just have to wait till tomorrow

I haven't gone into the thread because I don't want to be spoiled.
