This isn't a "S1" so there isn't an "open ending". My Dearest Part 2 has the remaining episodes 11-21 and is the second half of the drama and it isn't a "S2".
Note My Dearest is actually ONE COMPLETE series divided into 2 parts. It isn't a season 1 or a season 2 and you won't find it listed as "seasons" anywhere online. My Dearest is Part 1 with episodes 1-10 and are under this profile, whereas the continuation is under My Dearest Part 2 for Episodes 11-21 here on MDL.
On streaming sites, My Dearest isn't divided into 2 parts. IT'S JUST LISTED AS MY DEAREST. The drama was divided into 2 parts due to the Asian Games 2023 occuring in the middle of the drama. The drama was halted since South Korea's focus would be on the games instead.

No, I haven't watched it yet. Ep 21 aired in SK at 9:30AM on Nov 18th. Right now it's Nov 19th 9:22AM in SK as I'm writing this comment.
Many viewers who have wanted a HE have said they'll consider Ep 20 as THE END of MD and not watch Ep 21, even though Ep 21 is the Conclusion of My Dearest.

My Dearest wasn't the only drama to have suffered from the breaks. I noticed the ones that were airing before the Asian Games and to-be-continued-after the Asian Games also took a hit, then the baseball playoffs surely didn't help at all.
I agree, the separate profiles are a hindrance. You've probably learned, like I have, that a lot of people just don't read the profiles. I've watched the first 2 episodes of Goryeo–Khitan War and it kept me glued.

Then again the only comments were to & from cntributors so of course this info wouldn't be there. Being retired, I do a lot of reading of useless stuff just to keep my brain functioning.
