There are numerous Netflix originals that are completely rooted in SK culture and identity; Netflix “original”…
Are you a troll? Are you seriously unable to understand anything? I'm so sorry you have hate in your heart. I prefer Viki, Tubi, MDL, and Netflix, in that order. Hopefully by watching several more Korean dramas, especially those released before 2010, a little more love will enter your heart.
Did Twitter teach you to hate? I won't make an account to check out your timeline bc I'm almost positive it's filled with hate.

Disparaging, insulting, and even calling out a significant portion of the account holders here on MDL ("idiot teenagers") shows the intelligence level you're displaying. WOW! Sad, really sad.

Lacking in critical thinking skills stains your comment. SK producers, directors, and writers do well enough on their own when Netflix isn't involved. There are countless dramas that prove it.
" It’s literally John Wick with a woman, it exists for no reason than to watch the lead kick ass." Exactly. Hmm, where was John Wick produced, directed, and written? Where is Netflix founded and headquartered? See the correlation, and most importantly, your contradiction when you said "Love the Americans telling SK producers, directors and writers how they should do better depicting their culture". That's the funniest thing I've read in over a week. Thank you.
I haven't watched it but dropping after first episode is a bad decision. Many dramas becomes good after 2/4 episodes
I held off watching this when it released. I finished it tonight and all I chastised myself for putting it on hold. It was such a delight and held my interest without ff any episode. I did start ff thru the "home" scenes though around episode 13. The rating is well above average for a drama from 2017, and commenters have kept dialogue going all these years from new watchers. Good Manager is a great example of a great show that hasn't lost its appeal. People still recommend it in comments on other drama pages and in comments across MDL. I hope you'll give it a watch and let me (us) know what ya think.
""Ballerina" makes the unfortunate decision to forgo its roots in Korea’s unique and captivating culture, opting instead for a Westernized presentation that permeates not only its soundtrack but also its overall ambiance."
Many of us were drawn toward ROK entertainment and away from Westernized productions specifically for the "unique and captivating culture". Since Netflix, Westernized presentation has dominated and many of us have decided to deactivate our accts on Netflix. Personally, I'm in search for what drew me in in the first place. Give Netflix a few more years ,and the entertainment industry in South Korea will be completely changed and NOT for the good. I knew the minute Netflix entered SK that it was a bad decision.
It's a SPAM poster acct (usually made ON the day they comment) hoping to lure people in to a SPAM site. Check again today. It's been deleted, yet the acct making the comment under mine (above your comment) was made today, Oct 4, 2023 specifically to SPAM.

I've gone back to articles where there've been SPAM comments and they have been removed.Have you ever checked the dates these accts were made? Ususally ON the day the articles came out, so it takes time to remove the comments, especially since I've also noticed the ones who run this site and mods took time out to sleep. The acct above made comments under 4 articles TODAY and all of them were reported, I'm sure. So check back in a day or 2 or a week and they won't be there. REPORT ALL SPAM COMMENTS, please.
