Things the show forgot on its way:Jae-mi's trauma and desire for maternity, Heung and his second mom, Hae-jo's…
Jae Mi came to terms with not being able to get pregnant or be a mother when she was in the convenience store looking at the condoms and realized they wouldn't be needed.
Heung and his relationship with his 'second mother' was explored throughout.
Hae Jo's little sister wasn't a focus and was there to confirm his father's emotional estrangement.
Gi Ho was so loyal bc he was a part of what Hae Jo considered his real family which included Jae Mi, Heung, Gi Ho, and Bong Suk.
Some people do have difficulties in cross-race identification. The more one watches dramas the more one will be able to distinquish one actor/actress from another.
bro im reading comments and everyones saying its a sad ending? why would they make it a sad ending man? im so…
Given the main character's diagnosis, there couldn't be any other alternative for the ending. For once, writers scripted a character as realistic, rather than provide a miraculous 100% about face in their ending.
Between the close shots of ML smoking, the guy who pisses his pants, and the record use of profanity , this drama…
I use to think the same after Netflix invested $2B into ROK's entertainment industry. Now as time has gone by, I realize it isn't the West that's influencing Kdramas with the worst of the West, but Netflix opened up more of an opportunity for the writers, directors, etc to add elements, which are still frowned upon in STANDARD Kdramas.
so it means that ML never got to meet his bio dad?
A rewatch is in order, it seems. He never meets his bio dad. The CEO of I'm Your Father company is the man, along with his wife, who raised him until he and his wife found out the ML wasn't begat with his sperm. His father emotionally estranged himself from Hae Jo. Hae Jo then physically abandoned his father.
Exactly! And why he is not included in the cast??????
Alex Landi doesn't have a profile on MDL so one would have to be submitted. THEN he can be added to MP's drama profile with an edit as a Support character bc he DID speak to a main role character. Make sure your sources are IMDb and Asianwiki. Add episodes 3 - 10.
Past the first 2 eps, no it isn't cheerful. It's a good drama, yes, but I'm struggling with it. Too much screentime was given to a vile character, too much negativity from those who watched the OG, which I did also. Start it and drop it or continue is my advise.
