Just clarifying the age issue since some got annoyed at the age. To be honest if you noticed his age was never mentioned specifically to how old EXACTLY uncle Jim is. We could have the freedom to use imagination to watch and relate at this point without having to worry if the actor is fit or not to the character age. it's much better to give an age range for the character instead of saying one number, to fit a bigger slice of people in reality.
In an interview Jim's age was said to be mid THIRTIES not in his forties, as in 35-40 and 35 is pretty fit for the actor to play since he's 29 just playing 5-6 years older than him won't make a huge difference to a point that it wont it fit? of course no, it could fit (also lets check on Earth after 5 years and see if he will too old? I'm sure he'd still look as young and good as now) also with some styling elements it could be nailed and in my view he was more than great Earth nailed it and I truly enjoyed every bit of it.
Another point is Asian people don't really look their age and that's facts, they could play younger characters than their real age and no one would even notice. But a western eye is most likely not familiar with that. And in my personal experience Caucasian people or actors look much older than their real age. Anyways our worldviews could limit or change the way we perceive but don't let it bother you from enjoying a good show.
