Not really that wasn't force offering and forcing are two different things. He genuinely did want a way out and a solution to his situation, and to fulfill his mother's selfish wish so he agreed to marry her. If anyone forced him into it, it was his mother. If she had never guilt tripped him with her deathbed wish, he would never have done it she begged and begged none stop. The girl respected his boundaries from the beginning till the end. They had a deal that benefited both of them, and they ended it peacefully when he wanted to.
Zhuo Lan is an angel no one talks about, Lu Feng needs to learn from her. She never pushed Yi Chen, supported him, never asked for anything in return, and loved him with a pure and selfless heart. Even though he never loved her back, she continued to care for him and remained his friend.She went looking for him and risked facing that menace on her own. She asked for Yi Chen's consent, asked what he wanted, and gave him the choice of whether he wanted to go back. She tried to protect him even if it meant putting herself in danger.In many ways, she embodies everything Lu Feng lacks.
I don't know how some interpreted that bathtub scene as a dream. Even if that was the intention, I think it's still open to interpretation, and the show seemed to build it up as something that actually happened.
What really makes me question the "dream" interpretation is that the sequence leading up to the bathtub scene wasn't from Yichen's POV at all. We saw Lufeng leaving work, sitting in his car, checking the security cameras, and panicking when he couldn't find Yichen. How could Yichen be dreaming events from Lufeng's perspective when he wasn't even there?
To me, that strongly suggests the events were real. My interpretation is that Yichen was so overwhelmed, traumatized, or emotionally exhausted by what happened in the bathtub that he either passed out or fell asleep afterward and then woke up in bed. I never saw it as a dream sequence cuz in the original it was real anyway and you can think of it in either scenarios.
