better than I expected, I absolutely couldn't get myself to finish any vertical dramas before but this one was well filmed and not as awkward as the previous short dramas and it was pretty fun to watch

What do you mean by "my logic"? This is common knowledge about Chinese BLs. Ask any Chinese person, and they’ll tell you the same thing: BL is banned from airing on national TV/media. That’s a fact. If a series wants to be broadcast on TV or other Chinese platforms, it must get a license and undergo a strict review process, with each episode being checked by the authorities. If it doesn’t pass, it gets shelved. You can even check in this website to see how many Chinese BLs, even censored ones (bromance), failed the review. None have aired for years like Immortality and Eternal Faith. Now, regarding international productions—actors aren’t banned from working with international companies, having their work air globally, or getting nominated for awards. The authorities don’t control international companies. They only care about what airs domestically. If what you’re saying were true, these actors would already be in jail if it was illegal to work with international production teams, and this series wouldn’t even exist, it's more like a private work it wasn't sent to authorities to get an airing license because it wasn't for China. This series was produced by a Singaporean co. if you bothered to check the end credits. With your logic, that would mean gay people can’t do things privately, which isn’t the case. What people do privately doesn’t concern the law unless they broadcast it publicly which again it is banned.
