Who is that?. Yeah, i tend to prefer mature leads. Maybe that's why i prefer age gap dramas lmao. Also maybe thats why i preferred The Emperor in Story of Yanxi Palace
i guess she will get thrown out or something when its revealed?
Curious to how her new father will let her marry him. Maybe he separates from the family after his status rises. But being a concubines son and all, he would be lower in status. But considering his promising future and Yining feelings for him. Could be Song dynasty or a fictional dynasty?. Since i know Song Dynasty valued scholars greatly.
Considering whats going to happen, i dont see any redeeming qualities in him. I didn't hate Minglan dad in the end. He was just chilling and painting sign boards together with Minglan at the end. He seemed to have a newfound admiration for his daughter and her intelligence. Don't see it happening here.

Oh is he royalty? i had to google up on ranks. I found 2 different type of dukes. 1 in regard to imperial family. Also one in regard to the highest among nobility. Is it stated in novel that he is related to the imperial family?. Sorry for the questions. My last one regarding this.
Taken from wiki : Gong (公; gōng; 'duke'; ᡤᡠᠩ gung), often referred to as min gong (民公; mín gōng; "commoner duke") to differentiate from the imperial guo gong [zh] (國公; guó gōng; "imperial duke"). Translated as "Duke" or "Non-imperial Duke". The title jun gong [zh] (郡公
Hoping by 20 that shes reunited with her real father.
Guess we have to wait and see next week. Can you remember what happens when it's found out she isn't a Luo? she will get thrown out of the family i guess.
The novel is pretty good, like you I don’t have high expectations for this based on what recent adaptations…
what i meant was about their son. I didnt read entire novel. I just checked the side stories fast to decide to read or not. With how ML treated his oldest son and FL not doing anything really and how he ended up distant was really off-putting. Just checking some bts and stuff, it seems they wont be going this way in the drama. But also reading other people comments about what you said, made me even less interested in reading the novel.
