The thing is costume drmaas tend to be more popular than modern dramas in terms of cdramas so if you enjoyed sword and fairy its not a surprise so don't give urself the same expectation for modern cdramas coz they have their own aesthetic different to kdramas. Now to answer your question, yes this drama is worth it, especially if your in your late 20s or 30s, its very relatable. I'm 19 but i still relate to it. There are many unpredicatable scenes and no draggy fillers but there are many flashbacks so unless ur not a fan of school dramas then it shouldn't be a problem for you. Perhaps try 6 eps to see if its your taste.

To think he/she watched 28 eps and still went ahead to write that is so funny. Whos gonna tell him/her that the novel story isn't the same as the drama and only the characters were kept the same. 😭 The review mentions how the writer doesn't know how the real world works even though this plot wasn't written by the writer of the novel so are they saying r*pe and abuse doesn't exist in the real world? Is someone's mental health a joke now?

which friends? apart from guan chao (Zhao Rui) and lan yi fei (Fang Yue Qiao) who are kinda newcomers, the rest are experienced actors. And tbf they don't even have much screen time so i don't get ur point. okay maybe fan cheng cheng isn't the best actor, I think hes doing quite fine. I just think his character here did not give justice to him and theres not much to showcase his acting coz he was so good in his other drama and movies. (not talking abt world of fantasy btw coz that was his first drama and it sucked)
