I think, it is valid that he feels threatened. Tiemo is going to invade the land and kill the people. Mean while…
oh I thought you've finished the drama. I drop it after Ep 24 last month but knew the ending from recaps & ppl's comments. As you already know, Wenjing is not suitable to be king, he is weak mentally & morally - basically doesn't care for other ppl but himself. Talking about Chang'an city I prefer The Longest Day in Chang'an, it's tightly written thriller :)

Yeah, agree with you. The elder bro, Xiao Wuyang is a much better wiser king. When that stupid Wenjing stabbed his own brother repeatedly & caused him to lose his eyes & arm, that's when I gave up on this drama. Not sure what kind of message the director was trying to send by being so forgiving to this character.
I simply could not relate to the lil boy's case in Ep 3-4.
From start to the end of that case, it just feels contrived & unbelievable. The 12 year old boy said he wants to sue God, he wishes he's never been born. And yet most of the time he smiles a lot, he looks cheerful as if he cherishes living. How are we supposed to feel about it? If they want to to focus on the rights to abortion issue, they should focus on the young mother, to find evidence that the hospital was negligent in not informing that her fetus has high risk of disability. But it feels like they didn't focus on anything, so I also can't relate emotionally..
Overall, the drama was pretty good. The pacing, however, felt a bit slow at times, especially when it came to…
Agreed v. much with you. It's unbelievable & ridiculous that there was no consequence at all for Han Nu, they make other gods seem so... incompetent. The slow pacing in the middle require patience from us. There's too much screen time for the boring 2nd couple, both of them don't have much screen presence. I like Liu Xueyi's acting, he's very good here & it's good I manage to finish this drama :)
It's too long & I don't care much about any of the characters. The general & the spoilt princess are too proud & annoying. Jin Rip is ok. The story/script lacks substance, imo.
took me 6 business days to complete 12 episodes. the story was predictable from the start. romance was highly…
agreed. The drama's tone is uneven. Too many dating scenes & filler scenes distract from the main part of the drama. I like the earlier cases & Shin Jay's own case & of course Han Suk Kyu's acting, but yeah it's not a tightly written drama. When I started this, I thought of Shin Ha Kyun's Pied Piper b'cos both MLs are expert negotiators, but in terms of script I think Pied piper has done it better.
i've got a bit confused by the similar but a bit different scenes. so.. the ml sister's fingers were chopped and…
yes, poor girl. It's really terrible what happened to her. Kang Jin Mok was the one who started to inflict pain on her, & also the one who put her body inside the wall. I've watched this drama 3x but still can remember Lee Dong Shik's pain when he realized his sister's body was there at their home all these years :(
I can't hold back anymore, I just gotta vent! that fl is seriously so frustrating. she's the epitome of my most…
Agreed. In some parts it feels like forced romance. I watched this last mth but still remember that A Shei was very clingy to TLC. I started to dislike her when she acted like a busy-body probing into his private matters when she was just a guest on his ship. And since then she kept interjecting herself into everything lol.
There's a Cai Wen Zong aka eunuch and a Cen Wei Zong aka Grand Preceptor. So far seem like two different people.…
When Lau Sha (the cook) said it, I heard Chen Wei Zong. I just check at wiki.d-addicts.com, indeed the character played by Ni Da Hong is Cen Weizong. So MDL cast listing is incorrect (misspelled as Cai Wenzong). The eunuch used to be the Grand Preceptor. I've proposed the name edit to MDL Admin.
Any thoughts on what this symbolize? The Tiemo king giving it to the deposed emperor, knowing that he will eventually…
May be that a snake suits Wen Jing's personality best? Huai An mentioned that XWJ has survival instinct, he knows what to do to stay alive. A snake knows how to adapt well to its environment. When he was little, he used the snake to play a prank on Huai An. I assume he was jealous 'cos Huai An was the top of the class.
Ep 21 - The Cook Old Sha deserves a big applause. Looking at SCL: "Hm... you? You are not human." And then: "Even animals would not do such a thing." Very nicely said :p

Choi Dae Hoon has great comic timing :)

What an admirable dedication of a father.
Excellent performance by Jung Jae Young & Jung Ryeo Won.

Anyway let's agree to disagree, let's move on from this topic, ok?
