I honestly think the writers did indeed change their mind because their chemistry was really obvious, while she seemed to only look at Sam Dong as a friend. I mean, he wasn't even in the first episode, and Taecyeon had the whole "childhood friend" trope going for him, as well as the countless times he saved her from trouble, despite her being a total brat to him. He also (initially, at least) got more screen time and focus on his back story.

Oh gosh that was so me! I watched it around the time it was released, and I remember I completely fell in love with the Taecyeon x Suzy ship, which is why the ending left me feeling pretty bitter. I've decided to re-watch it (bc I just saw him in Vincenzo and was reminded of Dream High) and so far, up until episode 6, I still feel the same. They've got great chemistry, and he seems to really get her, not coddling her but rather pushing her to be a better person. I'm hoping I'll change my mind later though and fall for Sam Dong bc their ship is endgame, and I don't wanna be left frustrated again.
I only see people justifying her behaviors, just because he hurt her self esteem by not validating HER KISS doesn't…
They've made her character such that "she's a jerk, but with a good heart". It's tricky, because if you don't balance it well enough, she can either come off as a complete *ss or as if she's trying too hard to put up a front for no reason. I think the only reason we can find the heart to sympathise with her is because we see her eventually repent over her brash and thoughtless words, and it seems like she's (very) slowly changing (which does, i suppose, make it seem more natural, but it's indeed frustrating). Just hope she doesn't take too long, because I feel *really* bad for Du Shik. It's an interesting twist on the "good girl, bad boy" trope for sure though. [FYI my opinion is based on solely ep 1-5. I've yet to watch 6. I think I'll wait to binge it next weekend]
I finally got around to watching this series. I was in the mood for something dark yet humourous, and Vincenzo didn't disappoint. I thought the main and side leads did an amazing job. Song Joong Ki was the perfect fit for his role, and despite how odd I thought Cha-young's character was at first, she definitely grew on me. The last few episodes (especially the last one) got super dark real fast, and I loved it. It was definitely the content I was expecting from this series going in, and I'm still on a high from how it all went down. There were, of course, some moments that didn't make a lot of sense, where the characters didn't make the smartest decisions, but it wasn't difficult to overlook them because I really enjoyed the drama in it's entirety. I know some people didn't think the comedy and dark themes fit together, but I thought they did a pretty good job at it. I thoroughly enjoyed all the silly, cringy and cheesy moments just as much as the brutal and gory ones.
there are some plot holes that haven't been explained. Can someone answer:- what was the nurse and her ex-boyfriend…
To answer your first question, yes they were having an affair and the nurse was pregnant. It's revealed in one of the last episodes, I believe, when the nurse and the FL meet up coincidentally and sit down to have a short chat.
When you say "2nd female lead", I assume you mean Li Tian? I'm not sure if she's really the 2nd FL because the…
Ah I see. Well, it's not her interactions with the ML that bothered me, but rather her personality itself. There's nothing even remotely likable about her so far, so I found any scenes that focus mainly on her painful to watch (like the moments where she's crying over the ML or scheming how to get close to him). Thanks for answering though. I might pick this back up when I'm in the mood for something slow and sweet. Btw, do you remember what episode the main leads officially get together?
So I've watched 5 episodes so far, and it's *so* slow paced that I'm bored out of my mind. I keep skipping through, hoping for something interesting to happen. It doesn't help that the 2nd female lead is already so annoyingly childish, I can't bear to watch her scenes. Does it get better? And if so, when? I need to know how long I need to wait for the interesting/exciting bits ;-;
The main leads' chemistry was off the charts. It's rare to find a series with chemistry that's so natural and raw. Its a bit of a shame that the business plotline didn't interest me, so I skimmed through most of it. The actors did a great job nonetheless, and the relationship between Song Lin and his sister was adorable. Unfortunately, the second couple bored me too and I pretty much skimmed through most of their parts, especially in the beginning. I just couldn't deal with the best friend's personality.
reading the synopsis, it's giving me a dots vibes. but when I saw the trailer, it's more in depth story than dots.
DOTS had more action and dramatic scenes, while this series is a slow burn that focuses more on the main leads lives in the long run, if that makes sense.
When it comes to a medical drama, cdrama still need to cope with kdrama.
Yeah I didnt enjoy the OT scenes. They were pretty boring imo, while the ones I've scene in kdramas like DOTS and Dr. Romantic are quite fascinating and informative.
