Title Dr. Romantic Spoiler
is this drama heavy with a lot of conflict?? How about the villain? really annoying?
Well I didn't think it was too heavy. There is an ongoing political conflict going regarding the state of the hospital, and a rivalry that fuels it, but I enjoyed the way it unfolded. The villain gets annoying at times but there's quite a bit of comedic relief that lightens the tone, as far as I remember. It's been a while since I last watched it, so I'm not too sure ^-^". Hope this helps!

I must add that most of the male supporting characters are predators that attempt to sexually assault Smile on…
I know, right. The fact that they blurred alcohol while they showed the violent scenes was ridiculous, and what bothered me even more was how naive Smile was even after being harassed by a guy (or guys) in the dark on more than one occasion. Surely she should be a bit more cautious after going through something like that even once. The directors just used the multiple attempted rape scenes as bait in order to glorify Badz when he came to save her, and it's disgusting how it was shoved aside and forgotten once the scene had served its purpose of proving how cool he was. I was really displeased with how these scenes were carried out.

I mean yeah he was a massive jerk, and his apology was meh, so her rejection was justified after that incident, but the ending could've been better if there was a lil more depth to it. *shrugs*

You took the words right out of my mouth. This was a nice short fairytale series that I enjoyed, but it had some major flaws if you actually look into it a lil. The FL personality turned crap pretty fast.

Just watched the first episode and am utterly shocked. It's not like that in real life too, right? Please…
I agree, that part really pissed me off. This whole "seniors can bully and humiliate juniors" is sick in my opinion, and I'm glad I've never had to deal with such things.

I skimmed through this series because I wanted an easy watch. Finished it in a day, skipping almost all of Kyro and Liz's parts just because I wasn't into it. Badz and Smile were really cute, but none of their personalities were the best, tbh. It bothered me how Liz victimized herself when she too was in the wrong, and Badz said crap like "I love my girlfriend" when he never even bothered fixing their relationship. Smile wasn't the brightest tool in the shed but she was likable enough. The acting however was laughable, though I suppose I didn't expect much to begin with. In any case, I don't think it was a waste of time as I quite enjoyed the chemistry between Badz and Smile. It's definitely not a series to overanalyse though, as you'd just grow to hate it if you did.

My favourite medical dramas are Romantic Doctor and Code Blue. I'll never get over how great they are, and will probably re-watch them till I'm 70.

I agree with the whole "SML is a sweetheart but she goes with the j*ck*ss ML". I think the only series I know off where she chooses the good guy is Extraordinary You, but again I haven't seen it. It's just what I've heard, so correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the ML from Melting Me Softly also deserves to be here. He was close to the SFL in the beginning but once he started having feelings for the FL, he cut the other chick off pretty quick and I really enjoyed that about him. And God the FL absolutely hated the SML so that worked out really well for me xP

Do Kyung Suk indeed is the undisputed king of harsh rejection of a SFL :) I love his clear stance towards her,…
Ikr, Kyung Suk is the main reason I really enjoyed that series because of how straight-forward he is about the SFL's bs.

Hmmm not so sure about the message becoming change your appearance according to what your boyfriend wants towards…
Yeah I agree, this part was messed up. And all because what, he's jealous of her popularity? She can't be pretty, and but you can be "hot" and have a million girls obsessed with you? Suck it up and get used to it. In fact, he should appreciate her beauty. Not to mention how uncomfortable would it be to wear a wig and those massive glasses every day of your life just to appease him? That's just wrong. This drama was cute but that really irked me.

I'll admit though the ending was "fairy tale perfect", I wasn't fond of it. First of all, is she really saying she's alright with keeping her disguise on just because her boyfriend is JEALOUS of her popularity? That's the dumbest thing ever.
Secondly, why didn't he go to the states? She's the one who said "I don't need to go to Japan, I can draw ANYWHERE", so if they really wanted to be joint at the hip, then why didn't she just move to the US with him after college and build a career there? She's rich enough to fly to and fro to visit her grandad if she wanted to, and so is he. Not saying she has to follow him around the world, just that she didn't even *consider* a long-term relationship with him, which would have been completely possible considering their financial situations, if it would mean he (and she) get to live their dreams. And I'm not saying it's wrong to give up your dreams if you think it's worth it, just that this wasn't a situation where they had to, as there were lots of compromises they could have made to get around it. This was a last minute idea they just shoved into the last episode to create tension, but it wasn't executed well.

This drama was okay. I wasn't too fond of the acting as it somehow seemed a bit unrealistic and stiff most of the time, but the leads were cute enough to get me through it. The story had a good premise but there were some unnecessary bits. The whole story line about the "other girl" was done extremely poorly however, and she was allowed to get away with so many things that any sane person would not condone, which increased my dislike for some of the other characters, whom I cared little for to begin with. The female lead, and the side couple was low key the only reason I managed finished this drama. Even then, it's not the worst I've seen, and it did keep me interested long enough to finish it, albeit I did skim through the episodes near the end, so I gave it a 7.5.

Am I the only one who watched this after Dr. Romantic 2 and was completely caught off guard by how different the ML's character was? He did a freakin amazing job, in my opinion. I really couldn't believe Cha Min and Woo Jin were played by the same person cux they're personalities were so vastly different. I'm really impressed xD
