https://x.com/whjnitis/status/1808468914227102025Eh, how is KHY in this clip with the midnight in hawgon couple?…
Oh that's from the movie "Midnight" the female lead in that movie isn't the same as the one in Midnight Romance in Hagwon, but I can see the similarities haha
I wondered the same thing too but JWJ was popping into my YT feed recently. Apparently, he’s also a model and…
Yes he’s actually decently well known as a model turned entertainer/tv personality. He’s hosted a couple of shows but he’s predominantly more well known as a fixed cast in Hangout with Yoo. He does dabble in some acting but I don’t think that’s a path he’s passionate about.
A funny thing I found tho was he did act in a drama with a similar which is 선제 Sunje (pronounced the same as Sunjae)! 😂😂😂
I feel the same way. I always enjoyed watching dramas for what it is and kept the actors separate afterwards. Even with other leads that also had stellar chemistry. But for some reason these two changed my mind. So for the most part I’m just passively hoping for something even though there’s highly likely that they’re just good friends. A lot of variables could have affected my view on the drama and why I’m rooting for both of them as individuals (together or not). This of course lead me to watch a lot of their BTS and interviews which only fed my speculations/hopes more. But of course I’m just going to be a passive fan because the last thing I want is to ruin whatever they might have.
what does Mamel mean? I've seen it be used to refer to Hye Hoon
It's a shortened form of 마이멜로디 (My Melody) the Sanrio character. One of her outfits in Sky Castle got popular due to it looking like the Sanrio character, so knetizens have given her that nickname.
I’m tired of people saying antagonist needed backstory. Most of the time serial killers are serial killers.…
This. Clearly Taesung felt the same way. He said not to give the killer anything or a title bc he was straight up just a messed up person who the leads unfortunately were involved in by accident.
If he had more of a vital role like other antagonists in other dramas, not only would I agree why he didn’t get any sort of backstory but they probably would have given him more screen time and actual lines. But from the start to the finish they’ve specified that he’s just a random killer.
I've not been into Kdramas for years now. The last I was interested in was A Business Proposal and even then,…
Me too! I've quite picky with my dramas and even then, it takes a while for me to actually take the initiative to watch it. I saw how popular it was getting and one clip piqued my interest. Still then, I waited a couple more weeks until the drama finished airing. And the moment I watched the first episode, I binged the whole thing in two days 😂 Not only did I enjoy every single episode, everything about it just left an impact. From the actors to the OST to even the BTS. I started wanting more. And now I'm stuck rewatching the drama, looking at edited clips, watching previous works from the leads, always checking the news on both the leads, and eventually coming back here to the community. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a drama to this degree, and even more so the first time I'm hung up about it that I'm willing to spend a couple hours of my day just checking for new content or reminiscing through old ones.
To answer some of your questions like the trauma with crosswalks, I've never been personally been in a car accident but from the people I know that has whether it had been serious or minor, there's always some sort of trigger than could cause them to react to that trauma. I am guessing for her, cars passing by real close is enough to trigger it. We are not sure about her taking counselling, but I think in the real world there are some breathing and counting exercises that have been proven to work to calm down one's anxiety. I also didn't read the novel, so I'm not too sure about that.
The direction in the last timeline did make it seem like he was a solo artist/actor, but the news and articles shown on the phone when people caught the two of them on the date says "Eclipse's Vocalist and Actor Ryu Sun Jae" and so and so. I guess In Hyuk was just more popular in this timeline.
Unfortunately her paralysis was cut/set a side a little too early in my opinion as well.
Otherwise I suggest going over the very thorough timeline I linked above! It was very helpful after completing the drama the first time!
I don’t want to be that guy but there is some people here who literally live in the comment section😂 Some…
I honestly would have never thought I'd be one to keep up with the discussions and comments on a drama. I think that just goes to show how much it left an impact on my life 😂
Most likely, or they're on hold if they are also still in the talks. There are lots of probabilities.
iirc they're paid per episode. Or at least the articles I've read had mentioned it that way. Not sure about 10b won per episode but I think KSH from QOT (Most paid actor in SK) was speculated to have been paid around 800m won per episode which is around 12b won in total (16 episodes). Which is a lot if it's true.

If you need more clarification regarding the timeline and some specific details I highly suggest checking this Timeline Breakdown by MadelineMaureen in the discussions! It was very helpful to fully understand more after watching the drama:
