I don't really know what's "in" character or "out" of character anymore. Their characters in TWM were pretty different from BR. I really enjoy Knock in this new series, but it's somehow hard to tell how they will react or how their characters will develop. Maybe you're right and Korn's behaviour wasn't out of character at all :)

Yeah, this time it's obvious that Korn is wrong. In BR everyone just hated on Knock ... nobody was on his side.

As far as I know getting a sex change in Thailand is as easy as getting a double lid surgery in Korea :( I'm European, but I have seen a lot of documentaries about the so called "ladyboys". So I think it's not only confusion about gender and sexuality that plays a role here. But I like the parents a lot. The humor works for me. Farm telling Korn he is not a child anymore was pretty straight forward. What is he afraid of? Watching Bad Romance I always thought he would be the kid of rich parents and inherit their company or something like that. But that's not the case. Well, we will see ...
It's funny to see how Knock's parents are supportive though ;)

Ep 2 looked like they would just repeat the plot of BR. I liked their story in BR, but I don't want so see the exact same thing again. Knock was childisch and Korn was jaelous for no reason. As far as we know Knock never cheated on him, so why is Korn so insecure and obsessive? They never talk about their feelings which I don't dislike, but well ... not again.
Then the scenes where the whole group was together ... the timing was off ... the dialouge strange. The acting was weak in ep 2. The humor wasn't my cup of tea. Korn trying to seduce Knock felt out of character. Also, Knock only thinking about his video game ... sigh.
It felt like they would go around in circles without real progress. Ep 3 changed that for me. I liked how Knock was thinking Korn wouldn't be sad. They are both insecure about the feelings of the other one (like in BR), but the way they show us that emotional conflict was pretty good in ep 3. They were both pretty honest to each other. I mean it's obvious that Knock is unhappy about Korn's behaviour. The group of friends is also on Knock's side. It's more straight forward this time. Just my two cents. Everyone can disagree.

There was a lot to like about this episode:
First, Yihwa. The actress is highly entertaining. I like her with Cho, I like her with that new guy too, I like her scenes with Fai. It's always a pleasure watching her acting all sassy.
Second, Korn&Knock had some nice scenes. The conflict remains the same like in BR, but it feels like they are finally moving forward.
Third, Fai. I love that character. I loved her in TWM and always thought I would like to see her in a romantic plot. But no, I'm happy she is that tomboy, the comic relief, the good friend. Not even Korn, who is jaelous of every girl and boy Knock looks at, is bothered by her sharing the bed with him. Such a character is refreshing.
Forth, the parents. I really like the humor. It works for me. It's somehow charming and I really appreciate that they move forward with the story that quick. All four of them know about the relationship.
Fifth, Farm&Bright are growing on me for some strange reason.
So, hopefully the next episode will be as entertaining as this one and I'm happy.

Ep 2 was a big disappointment for me for several reasons, but I liked ep 1 a lot and ep 3 was very entertaining. I didn't skip a single scene.

A positive comment, finally! Didn't she say she was sad? That's the most normal reaction you can have. I was really digging this episode and didn't skip a scene. Even the Farm/Bright relationship is growing on me. I'm glad they are so straight forward when it comes to the parents. I thought Knock&Korn would try to hide their relatinonship until the last episode. But now we're at ep 3 and eyeryone knows about it.

7.4???? Even worse than Bad Romance?

I expected a bad and cheesy plot, but I never expected that their chemistry would decline this much. I'm honestly confused. The script must be really horrible to be able to achieve that.

Bad production, you say? I'm also confused about that. Watching the trailer it was obvious there is something wrong this time ... the music, the timing, the dialouges, the acting ... strange. Those scenes where they are all together are especially bad. All those akward pauses, I'm always waiting for the laugh track like in some American sitcomes ...

I think it's too early to give up. I'm confident there will be some good scenes between them in the future.

But yeah, at the moment it's not looking that good. I liked ep 1 though. Only ep 2 was a big letdown. Hopefully ep 3 will be better. If not, well, it's not the end of the world.

Okay ... ep 2 came out on my birthday and I didn't want to be all depressed about it.
But now ... well ...
First, the comedy is not working. I blame the script AND the production. The timing could be better and they are overdoing it with those strange background noises
Second, it's Bad Romance all over again which I don't really mind, if they make it work. They don't. It feels repetitive and pointless. I never liked Korn's behaviour in BR and now he is back: anxious, jealous, insecure. Also BR-Knock is back and it doesn't seem he learned a thing. It's like they will just repeat this storyline and explore it a little further without solving any conflict. We are going around in circles.
Third, I hate it how they make real gay characters look creepy. Like they did with P'Bright. That guy is pretty nice and charming (and gay in real life), in the series he is mostly creepy and nothing else. This new boss is the same (I don't know if he is gay). He creeps me out. Seeing the new preview I wonder if he has an interest in Knock. I don't like how they have the "cute" gays and the "creepy" gays.
Forth, the acting. What happened? Yihwa and Cho are the only ones who are doing a good job until now. Yeah, there scenes may seem a bit boring, but they deliver, the chemistry is good, it's cute. But Max&Tul? What happened? In ep 1 they had two good scens that were well acted and scripted. In ep2 the acting was worse than in BR. Tul acting like he is drunk ... hm ... Max jaelous and insecure again ... the scene in the bed was also ... I don't know ... Korn trying to seduce Knock like that felt out of character and it wasn't that funny either. I feel like they sometimes fall back in their TWM-characters and then again they have to act like in BR. They just don't balance it out that well.
Fifth, is it even worth mentioning? The continuity ... In BR Korn accused Knock of flirting with boys, now he is doing it with girls, because we learned he isn't really gay in TWM. Their sexuality changes in every series. Seeing the preview it seems Korn has dated girls in the past too when he was potrayed 100% gay and not interested in girls in TWM. Sigh ... Also the parents are now rich and not living in that small village.
Sixth, Farm's mustache ... enough said.
Bottomline: there is room for improvement. I wonder if they have a low budget. It's just strange ...

No, I'm not. She was horrible in Family Gu Book. Very stiff and no charisma. Is she even an actress? The whole series was very childish and, believe me, I wanted to love it. The chemistry was zero. I'm well aware that many (I guess younger people) were impressed. I was not. I'm willing to change my opinion immediately if she has improved *fingers crossed*

No! Like nooo! That girl cannot act. Jesus. I really hope she improved since Family Gu Book. Lee Seung Gi is such a great actor, but without a good script and a good co-actress I will pass on this.

It's not December, MDL puts the last day of the year as release date if they don't know the exact date. I guess it will be September ... no idea ...

Is this any good? From what I have seen it's overly dramatic and dark. I appreciate a good story with meaning, but this looks like the old chinese gay movies they made years ago, before BL became "hip"

The only negative thing I said about the romance was that the female lead was boring. I prefer complex and more interesting characters. I never said that the journalistic theme of the background was boring or uninspired, I said that about the fact that they have a tragic past (of course the parents died or whatever) and that the past is linked togeher. I lately watched Goblin. Again, they all have their (tragic) past in common and somehow knew each other. You assumed I coudn't relate to the romance because I didn't think it's the best thing ever. I never talked about my (or your) experience. You became personal first. And yeah, it's arrogant to list your credits to show your point is more valid. I mentioned several times on this site that I'm an author but I never did it to prove I'm smarter than others. I misunderstood your many "LOLs" and "hun" etc. Sorry for that. But you didn't read my posts carefully, did you? I just don't get why you are accusing me of things I never said. After my first very short comment you responded "You just don't like Korean Drama. Period." - Like you know everything about me and what I think and like. You're jumping too fast to conclusions and you're unable to see your wrongdoing. I at least will admit that my criticism can come across a bit harsh like I don't enjoy a series at all which isn't true. Also, what you said about storytelling, stories, writing in general sounds like you were citing a writing guide. I wonder if you write for fun or self fullfilment or if you really have to make a living of it. A professional author is bothered by different things, you know? The book market is brutal. Writing a "good" book (which for you is easy to rate, like you think Healer is the best thing ever and that's just a fact and who doesn't see it is stupid) is not enough to sell it. In fact, many times the quality of literature correlates negatively with the sales. This will be my last post. I don't feel like figting with you. You shoud reread the whole conversation and ask yourself what this is all about. It got out of hand.

WHERE did I say (for example) that I thought the romance in Healer was bad? Where? I said I didn't enjoy it that much and it doesn't deserve the high praise it gets. If I would rate Healer I would give it a solid 8.5. You're emotionally attached to the story (I don't blame you) that's why you don't like it and get offended if someone says it was not that great.
