Have you seen Chris Wu in real life? He is shy, cute and has such a soft side about him. You would never imagine he can pull off the gang leader Tang Yi that well. No wonder he originally auditioned for the role of Shao Fei. Jake Hsu does a great job too, but I fell like his character is very similar to his real personality which isn't his fault. It's good casting after all. The two characters go well together. I don't know about Jake and Zhao Zi to be honest. I feel like their characters aren't that deep and not as difficult to play. I'm just a sucker for good acting and serious storytelling. So I would prefer a bit less cuteness in such a show that is all about drugs and murder, but I'm not complaining. I'm glad they have some fan service which will make the show more popular.
Zhao Zi and Meng Shao Fei---these two are really really scene stealers. No matter the episode I watch, the two…
I think Chris Wu (Tang Yi) gets not enough credit for his acting. He is the one who makes the whole gangster-police men scenario credible. Otherwise this would be just a show with cute boys doing cute things like we have seen many before.
Nice episode, but I was surprised how happy Shao Fei was after hearing Andy had a boyfriend and Tang Yi has a good relationship with both of them. After that touching and kissing in the club I would immediately assume all three of them are in an open relationship ergo he sleeps with both of them. Whoever has written this script, has a very innocent mind, I guess. Or it's just Shao Fei who is portrayed as innocent. No idea.
And now we all know about it. That's the reason why bad rumors start to spread. That's the reason why stupid people are so successful, because everybody talks about them. The less talk – the better.
their acting skills are really good especially jake hsu's
I think Chris Wu does an even better job, because he is completely different in real life. Cute and funny, while in the series he is so serious and stiff.
I don't know ... I feel like this has potential, but it could have been so much better. The storytelling in the first episode didn't draw me in at all. And the police officer's acting is so cringy. I don't know if it's on purpose and he will change over time (hopefully we get some character development!) or if he is simply a bad actor. The other guy surprised me though. He seemed so stiff in the preview, but it seems he is surprisingly charismatic. The whole side cast is pretty nice. I just feel they could have done a better job by changing a few things.
Did someone watch it? Is it any good? Because the preview I have seen is horrible. In every scene where there was something going on between the main pairing one guy always had the eyes wide open, shocked. It reminds me of those terrible K-drama kisses. I‘m too old for this cheesy and childish shit.
Not my favorite episode. Korn being a coward until the very end. Jesus ... The acting was good (better than expected seeing the preview; their tears could reach me), the music didn't fit the scenes sometimes ... and all those coincidences. How Pete knows WanWan ... um. And the father arriving at the most unfortunate moment. They must all live in the neighborhood I guess. Korn's father always gets me, the actor is great, but breaking down in front of them? That must be an asian thing. Everyone seems weak on their feet. I also expected a stronger reaction of their groups of friends. They were like "shit happens". And now Knock&Pete? No idea how they will overcome this though it was nice that they talked so openly about the situation (Cho accusing Korn of being paranoid and now he was the one who cheats; Knock saying he was doing something good for "them" while Korn was cheating).
