Unfortunately, this is the case in many BL series of Gmmtv. Except for the kissing and jealousy scenes, we could…
SandRay in Only Friends is the only GMMTV couple I have ever seen that behaves like a couple, even though they aren't even together, and their whole relationship is a mess. But they flirt, they kiss, they fight, they have sex, they flirt again, they kiss etc. They are comfortable and it comes easy to them, their intimacy is very believable.
The actors(espicialy Chimon) are uncomfortable in their intimacy scenes. They don't want even kiss, obviously. And…
Chimon reminds me of Krist or - even worse - Plan. Krist at least put some effort into it in Be My Favorite. I think I never saw a couple that made me more uncomfortable than BrightWin, but the whole internet went crazy about them. Some people are bothered, some are not.
Don't know what the issue is with Chimon not opening his mouth, but the love scene was good overall. I'm impressed how much they got out of it with an actor who is so passive like him. No hate. But after seeing people complaining about the kissing, I expected much worse. That was a nice scene for the folks out there who like it a bit more on the soft and cute side.
I'm about to go watch Saint&Perth kiss again... Chimon I luv you and your acting but learn to kiss better baby…
This is always such an issue in Thai BL, and then you have Taiwan BL where they don't care at all. Funny how everyone thinks Thailand is so open minded, when it's not.
The reason why this show is highly rated is primarily due to its dedicated fanbase. Many individuals seem to overlook…
Honestly, I think this is a very generic series with good acting, and that's enough to make people happy. There are many who complain about clichés, but they use those tropes because they are popular, after all. Good actors, decent production, cute BL story - success.
Honestly, am I the only one who is mad at this series? I didn't want to write about it and spread a bad mood, but it's boiling inside me. The story is badly presented, maybe even badly written, I don't know, because I can't keep my attention when something is so f*cking bad. This puts the term "low budget" to a new (low) level. I have issues with the overall filming, the editing, the acting, the music, the story. It's mediocre at best, terrible at worst. The main couple's acting isn't great, and both lack charisma, especially the student guy, which I find extremely unattractive, and I'm not (only) taking about his physical appearance. He comes across as very stiff, boring and emotionless. Then you have the 2nd couple ... sigh. Who the hell dressed Ai Di? Those colorful outfits? Those chains and chokers like he is some BDSM twink? Help! What the hell were they thinking? This is like some bad fanfic coming to life in the cheapest way possible. So why am I mad? Don't like it, don't watch it. I'm mad, because the 2nd couple has great chemistry. Imagine those two in a high budget Thai production. The internet would go crazy. That love scene was beautiful. Louis Chiang is also a very good actor to the point that I feel he is standing out too much. Normally I would say give those two their own series, but please, spear me. I can't take more of this gangster nonsense. Seriously, if they would announce tomorrow a new project with them, I would brace myself for the biggest disappointment ever. There is no money left in Taiwan for BL series. The golden years are over or what.
the prophesy is not about who will be King or a better world so to speak. The prophecy is about destroying the…
They always talk about Aramun Haesulla, who is treated like a god. So the king (Tagon) is the incarnation of Aramun, which is a lie, yes. There is a lot of worshiping of gods going on. Ishinagi is also treated like a god. So to think that this society will do without a god (king) is very idealistic. I wonder how this will work out. Religion takes a big place in Arthdal.
And look at the three children of the prophecy. Saya is not a good guy, sorry. He shows some animosity and jealousy towards his brother. I don't see those two building a utopian society. Eunseom was very innocent, but now he is a war leader. They are murders. That's just how it is.
They would free the slaves for sure, and make the tribes co-exist in some way. Tanya is the only good character left, though I don't like her and her methods. But she is the only one who never killed as far as I remember.
But some kind of system and order is needed. Who rules?
No idea how this will end. There is bad in all those people and tribes. I have a hard time to assume they will become some pacifists overnight who worship nature. Many of those people are warriors.
Before watching to the end, i knew their plan would fail. Tagon will never kill his two most loyal generals. Also,…
Nah, I don't think so. Tagon was badly injured, got drugged, suddenly Igutu blood is sacred ... it was to be expected he loses his mind. I'm surprised he didn't. We all know his sanity was never as stable as Taealha's, almost nothing makes that woman shake. Tagon's whole life he had to fear his secret got discovered, he killed almost all the people who learned about him being an Igutu. He is obsessed of the idea of being king, every death he caused was in vain if he fails. He erased the whole race of Neanderthals! Killing his most loyal generals isn't really that big of a deal.
Tagon is good at scheming, and it was a great plot twist. However, the problem with his scheme is - he acted like…
Not to mention, that soldiers who don't betray a tyrant king, don't do it because they are loyal, but because out of fear. The same people would be loyal to another king too. But well, I loved the episode anyway.
I forgot to breath. Incredible episodes. Am I the only one who has a hard time rooting for the children of prophecy? I feel like nobody is fully good or bad here. What does it matter who is king? I wonder if those children will be able to create a better world. Tanya and Eunseom, but Saya is not trustworthy either. I feel brother rivalry here. I disagree with others. Tagon played the lunatic well, I thought it was in character that Taealha and Saya felt for it.
I'm still on ep 2, can someone tell me if this as good as the first season?
I wasn't impressed by the first 2 episodes, but after episode 3 I was hooked.
Season 1 took its time for the build up, season 2 is faster, it's hard to get used to the new actors and the changed characters, but it's as entertaining and thrilling as season 1.
There are many differences between S1 and S2. Phasing, editing, soundtrack, camera filter, and script quality…
Seriously ... I'm glad Taealha and Tagon are back, they are still the same, more or less. But Eonseum and Saya feel completely different. I don't blame the actor, it was an impossible task to begin with. How are you supposed to replace a completely different looking actor in such a role? Eonseum was so boyish, so wild, reckless, a pacifist (lol), now he is a grown up, serious looking "war leader" like you said. I don't feel a difference between Eunseom and Saya either, when in s1 you could tell them apart very, very easily. Muabeak's death ... I have no words. Still can't believe he had to go like that. What I want to add the thing the Neanderthals gave Saya, and suddenly they are interested in the twins, the new prophecy coming out of nowhere, that over the top cliff fight scene with some superhero action, the whole time skip was a bad idea, it was too long. It feels like nothing happened in those eight years, now suddenly everything happens at once. And Eunseom and Tanya ... I don't mind the kiss, we know they love each other, but there was no real build up to it either. It felt like some kind of fan service. This series could have been the biggest masterpiece, making Game Of Thrones look stupid, but nope. I'm very disappointed that the original actors of Tanya and Eunseom/Saya were not committed to this project. It's just sad. Don't know what happened, but this is a strange work ethic.
on paper this is exactly the type of drama I'd be all over, but somehow I just can't seem to be able to connect…
I find this series incredible cheesy and silly. The main couple is unbearable to watch, I really dislike the student guy, and I'm not buying their love story. The 2nd couple is great, but all their scenes are rather short and are so sudden. You can't get into it. There is potential acting wise and the chemistry is through the roof, but with this directing and script ... no hope. If some kind soul will ever do a BL cut of this couple, it will be only half an hour long, since they don't get much more than two minutes per episode. No hate. I wanted to love this, but the disappointment is next level.
