This was a good episode, but they're trying to have it both ways. It's incongruous to have a strong statement…
I agree with you.
But when did they show us something about Sean's sexuality? The scene with the girl ... wasn't that a misunderstanding? She is only his buddy.

Btw, since I binge-watched, the plot doesn't feel slow at all unlike what other commenters said.
People want more BL conent. And there isn't much. That's why they think it's slow. The pace is perfect. Not a boring moment until now. The story moves forward steadily.

They are? Whoa...that means they are probably looking at fans comments and critiques so they might be able to…
Fan comments and critiques? Not yet have I seen a valid critique. People aren't intersted in the topic, and there is too less BL. How are they supposed to change that?

I enjoy this much more than Trapped and Manner Of Death. Trapped was so silly with those police officers behaving like little children. The acting of Jake Hsu wasn't that great either. They didn't find the right balance between drama and humor. Something another HIStory series like MODC also suffered from: finding the right balance. Manner of Death on the other hand was too slow, too soap-operisch, the acting of Max and Tul not very convincing. It lacked intensity, despite the intriguing concept. The murder cases weren't interesting either, so I dropped it half way. Don't want to sh*t on other seires, just saying, that I'm pleasantly surprised that Not Me is doing great until now. I wasn't expecting much from it, since the mentioned series were both rather disappointing, and I saw no bright future for BLs that aren't focussing solely on the love story. The strong point of Not Me is without a doubt the way the story is told. It draws you in. I never get excited about the previews, and I was hesitant to watch it, because I didn't like the premise. But the intense acting (especially from Off), the good-filmmaking, and the nice music makes this worth it. I didn't skip a single scene until now. If this will be able to keep me interested until the last episode, then I will rate this very high, despite the rewatch value being rather low. But I have to give credit to them, that they succed in keeping me interested.

Just dropped another airing drama thanks to the cancer filler toxic comments and replies, taking a damn drama…
It's MDL. People are high and mighty here. I once had a conversation with someone, I said I don't like the series very much, she told me the series is perfect and a masterpiece. She also told me she had a major in literature, haha. So her opinion is valid and right, and mine is wrong. Well, I make a living with novel writing for many years now, but sure I know nothing about good storytelling. Hopefully someone can explain it to me one day. The cirtics are always right.

Oh yeah, I said Off is better than Gun. Well, he is. At least in this series in those six episodes we have seen so far. Nothing wrong about someone being better.

Where did I bring down Gun's acting? I'm constantly praising him in this role not like some other people who think he is miscasted. I was just saying that Off's expressions are more subtle.

honestly, this is a type of series that needs more than 45 minutes per episode, it feels like they have so much…
We are almost half through, and I feel like this is only the beginning. At least we have 14 episodes and not 12.

I'm completely neutral here. I only knew them from Theory Of Love, which I didn't like and I don't remember much about it. But Off's acting in Not Me is on another level. The intensity and rawness is astonishing. At the same time his expressions are much more sublte than Gun's. From all the guys he is the one that caught my attention immediatly. He absolutely nails the social underdog character that is on a revenge trip.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I really like how the relationship between White and Sean isn't cheesy. That scene at the very beginning "Your life is worth more than you think" was very powerful. I also like how White is right, and maybe able to change Sean's views. People complained about Gun not being credible as the gangster type. I think this whole series is about psychological determination. This is not about having a strong body, this is about having a strong mind. They emphasized that already several times. Also OffGun chemistry is something else. You can feel the tension. But at the moment it doesn't seem to cross their mind to be in a romantic relationship. I really like the slow development. No cheesy blushing or being shy around each other. That's my cup of tea, to be honest.

I'm one with you. For me, BB suffered from extended, pointless additional scenes. I just hope this one does not.
It's the cursed Ep 6! After that Bad Buddy focused too much on pointless fluff, and forgot about telling a story. I wonder if Not Me will go downhill too ... *fingers crossed*

Off's acting is the best. Show me a scene where he isn't doing great! Can't believe I was sleeping on that talent. They did him dirty in Theroy of Love with that stupid Khai character.

Sorry but yes kisses on the cheeks are kisses. What is some people's problem? Are you so superficial?Have you…
What kind of empty argument? If they had shown us only one or two kisses in the whole series it would be fine for me. But I dislike it, when you get the feeling they PURPOSELY don't kiss on the lips. Like when they get intrerrupted constantly. This is sooo cheap. That's the reason why I diskliked Ep 7. They just played with the audience. It's childish. Do it or don't. I'm not 13 years old anymore.

Still the intimacy and skinship was superb for a GMMTV series. But I also understand if some people think the buddy-vibe is too strong. The longing and the passion dried out after Ep 5. I said it before: After the slow Ep 6 they should have been together, let them be passionate and intimate, let us feel that passion! - and then solve their problems. No need for an overload of fluff and cuteness. Give me more story! Instead they killed the passion, gave us fan-service (there was no need for all those cute scene, they didn't do anything for the plot, half of it was unnecessary) and they brushed over the biggest conflicts. This is not good storytelling.

"They are the same ones who necessarily want to define the top and the bottom after episode 11."
Give me a break. I don't care about this stuff.

Well ...

Great storytelling in Ep 1 to 5 or 6. I think it doesn't get enough recognition. People started loving the series mostly after the great kiss in Ep 5, and later on everyone was over the moon because of their cutness. But the storytelling was best in the first half. Bit by bit we got introduced to the characters, their past, their relationship, their feelings. The pace was just right. Not a single boring moment. The revelation was exciting. This was one of the best storytelling I have ever seen, combined with some great acting and beautiful film-making. I still go back, and enjoy some of those scenes. This was really another quality level especially for BL.

But since Ep 7 it went downhill, despite most people saying otherwise. Too much fan-service. Those flirting scenes weren't needed. The conflict with the friends was resolved in a very strange way. The conflict with the parents wasn't as silly as I thought, and I liked how it was resolved. Still the whole thing lacked depth, and seemed so unnecessary at the end of the day. The last episode was good, though. So I'm surprised that some people didn't like it.

Sometimes less is more. 10 episodes would have been enough for this story. The story in Ep 7 & 8 could have been told in one episode. The same goes for Ep 10 & 11.

On a sidenote: The kisses are cute and all. But they should have kissed more on their lips. People are constantly saying their behavior is so realsitic. Sure. But rather than kissing 10 times on their cheek, I think it's more realsitic to kiss two times on the lips. Still for a GMMTV series and P'Aof as the director there was much, much more skinship and kisses I ever expected.
