You can always download a subtitle browser extension called Substital (for Chrome browser), then download the subs from Subscene and apply the extension. That way you can watch with episodes with the subtitles that I’ve uploaded.

I am Vietnamese, not Chinese. 😊 I am able to pick up a few Chinese words here and there from watching all these Chinese dramas over the years. Base on my research “小祖宗” (xiǎo zǔ zōng) means “brat”. It seems to have different meaning: 1) someone who is very young but acts like an old impolite person, 2) some Chinese parents spoiled their children and sometimes used this term, 3) term that a parent uses to blame or complain about his/her naughty child.

Maybe someone who is fluent in Chinese can help explain this term. I’m not of much help here.

I think you might be correct in regards to WeTV subs using “I” when referring to oneself. So the “Father” will probably be translated as “I”.

I didn’t like some of the titles that WeTV used in their translation, so I modified their subs and uploaded a different set of subs on Subscene. 😂 I changed “Master” to “High God”. Sometimes, Jingzhao would call her brothers either “First Brother” or “Second Brother” but the subs were using their name, which gave off the vibe that they weren’t close even though they’re a family. “Uncle Tianqi” became “Third Uncle”.

His First/Eldest Uncle is True God Zhiyang. Yuanqi calls him this in E49. He wouldn’t call Bai Jue his Second Uncle as that is his father. And of course, Tianqi is his Third Uncle.

I didn’t like how the subs were using “Uncle Tianqi” when it should’ve been Third Uncle.

It's available on WeTV VIP right now. Usually kisskh.me or dramacool will have them too. They have been usually quick about uploading the subs, not sure what is going today. Maybe wait for a bit? I've uploaded subs for E31 & 32 on Subscene this morning already.

To be honest with you, I had similar thoughts as you when I first watched the drama. It took me until about E10 to fall in love with the drama. From then on, the drama grabbed my emotions. It will become an emotional roller coast, at least for the second half of the drama. You will see how both ML (Zhou Dongyu & Xu Kai) will shine in their performances. She will fit her role as Chief God really well.

I've completed watching the drama, and am rewatching again. The rewatch has made me treasure the times the ML have together in their first arc (E1-16) because of all the future events that will happen. You may think there is no chemistry, but as you continue you can see how their beginning interactions is the foundation for their beautiful and heartbreaking love story.

Those lines from Bai Jue was foreshadowing the path he would be on, whether if it was for Shanggu or the Three Realms. You can feel his isolation and loneliness as a child. The other immortals stayed away from him when he was God of War during their battles with the devils.

Shanggu was the first person who he was willing to be close to, not even Hongri could be as close to him as Shanggu did. Because of Shanggu, he was able to have other emotions other than being "cold". He was a bit hesitant to return her hug in E5, but once he did there was no going back for him. I can see a bit of Qingmu's personality coming out of Bai Jue in the God Realm. Especially all those incidents where Bai Jue was being such a cute dork, trying to apologize to Shanggu or get her attention. 😂

I was about to make a post on the EXACT lines and episode you've just mentioned but ended up going to bed instead because I stayed up so late re-watching. 😂

When Shanggu and Bai Jue were looking at the stars and Shanggu laid her head on his head, why was Bai Jue able to see some scenes of Tianqi being upset and Shanggu sacrificing herself? How was he able to see the future?
